昨日のニュージーランド戦を勝利で収め、日本代表は白星発進でワールドカップイヤーをスタートした。
Japan won yesterday's friendly against New Zealand, and launched its first game of World Cup year with a victory.
結果は皆さんもご存じのとおり４－２だ。

代表チームは、前半１３分の間で一気に４ゴールを奪い、観客に瞬きをする暇を与えない、完璧なパフォーマンスを披露した。
The team showed an impeccable performance scoring 4 goals in 13 minute in the first half, and didn't give time for the audience to blink.
特に、四点目の岡崎のゴールとそこまでの一連の流れは素晴らしかった。
Especially, Shinji Okazaki's fourth goal and the team play that created that fourth one was splendid.
香川のしかけから本田へのパス、そしてその本田から岡崎へのヒールパス、最後に岡崎のダイレクトシュート。この一連の流れるような連係は「完璧」の一言に尽きる。
The combination play of the three players--Shinji Kagawa's long dribbling run and a pass to Keisuke Honda and his back heal assist to Okazaki and his direct volley shot--was in a word "perfect."
しかしながら、その後簡単に二失点を喫するのを見ると、最終結果は手放しに喜べるものではない。

There is only one test match left unitl the World Cup finals, which is against Cyprus on May 27.
日本は他の出場国と比べて、本番までのテストマッチが少ない。そしてＪＦＡ（日本サッカー協会）が手配できた相手はニュージーランドやキプロスといった明らかな格下相手だ。それゆえ、次の試合は相手を完膚なきまでに叩きのめしすことが最低限のノルマだ！
The Samurai Blue have less games to prepare for the finals than other countries qualified for the tournament. And the games that Japan Football Association were able to arrange are low ranked nations New Zealand and Cyprus. So for the next match, Japan is obliged to beat the opponent with overwhelming score!
