No plan, today. Just relaxing. The breakfast was some toasts and fruits.
The dinner was BBQ again !! Marinated vegetables. I wanna get this BBQ grill and the big backyard that can enjoy BBQ party ! I didn't have beef for a long time. Eating outside is so much fun !!
We are gonna stay their second son's house from tonight. The lunch was at the TULLY'S in the neighborhood. I had a bagle and cream cheese. They have the head office in this city.
Their son, Mr.R cooked BBQ in his backyard. It almost in the night but looked early evening. I really love sausage, but it's enogh for today.
The mail purpose for visiting Seattle is for the memorial ceremony. Their son has passed away. Dad & mom has smiled all the time since we met in LAX, but were in tears sometimes when we talked about him. Come to think of it, I had first met him at the front of Mrs.S'house.
The ceremony was set up at the place in big arboretum in Seattle. We'd already checked that yeasterday. It's just quiet and deep green from the entrance to the venue. It was just peaceful. When the people had rehearsal I was arranging flower and table for snacks. The guests came together in the meantime and the ceremony started.
The guests gave us very impressive speech. We all were in tears and laugh. Sharing the time like ths, we could be getting healed. The ceremony was very friendly and hearty.
After ceremony, they invited the very close friends to Mrs.S's house. We served the light dinner in buffet. Some of the guests were his friends on the internet. They had known his face and family at the first in this ceremony. It seems getting important we have human relationship not only in the real world but the virtual internet.
We finally got in Seattle last night. That was long long drive. The first breakfast in Seattle was cherry and peach, and cheese we had bought at Harry & David.
After that, we got together a cafe called AROSA CAFE that mom's friend Mrs.S recommended. I had a cup of cappuccino and shared vege panini w/mom. So tasty !
We went to a farmer's market to buy some groceries. I tried very sweet and cheap blueberry and raspberry. A girls who was working at this booth was so suprised when I said it's about $5 even a small container in Japan. I tried almost everything at the farmer's market. Dinner was saute fish and potates. I had too much, so full...
We went to take a look a Bed & Breakfast in Coburg. You can stay at the house and have breakfast. It's like a "Minshuku" in Japan, I thought...
It was just amazing---!! I couldn't believe it. So charming !! I LOVE it. Dad said we may stay here after coming back to LA. I LOVE to stay here !!!
After long driving we had late lunch. We found a small restaurant called Mary Macgran. It's very at home. We loved their handmade jam. I had grilled salmon. They showed many antique plates and tableware. Some are same as mine I bought this morning. Especially this tray stand. I wanna put a few scones or macarons...
