そんなこんなでガーデンパーティで夜はふけていき、いよいよセレモニー。dadが牧師さんの資格を持ってるので（禅僧の得度も持ってる）、セレモニーをとりしきって無事終了。みんなでハグやキスで祝福。私も感動してほろり。家族が一体となったあたたかな手作りの結婚式でした。
お二人とも末永くお幸せに！

The happy time passed so fast. We finally had the wedding ceremony when it got dark. Dad performed it as a minister. It was just impressed and touching. After the ceremony, we all had countless hugs and kisses for this celebration. I was so moved. Everybody had worked together and now we know what the family is. I give my best blessing to R & J !! Congratulations !!

オイスター☆オイスター

今日は朝からとても寒いです。だんだんSeattle特有のお天気になってきました。明日はいよいよ結婚式。今日も買い出しと準備に大忙しです。


お家からさらに北へ車で１時間ぐらい行ったところにあるオイスター売り場へ。ここはすぐ隣が海で、捕れたばかりの新鮮な生ガキが、日本では信じられないお値段で手に入ります。


この海で生ガキを捕って、その場で食べたりするそうです。食べるときは身だけ食べて、spats（カキの赤ちゃん）を残して、殻を海へ戻すのだそうです。そうするとまた育つんだって。


その帰りにちょっと寄り道、日本人女性が経営している「KARMA PLACE」へ。ここは、日本式庭園や、竹や盆栽の販売、日本雑貨の展示販売を行っている、Nursery（種苗園）です。Seattleのこんな郊外に日本式庭園が。お抹茶もいただけるそう。


夜は、昨日買ってきたお花でアレンジメントの準備をスタート。大量にあるお花の水切りから始まって、キャンドルとのアレンジの確認、ブートニアやコサージュ作り...。ベッドについたのは、明け方の４時でした。


It's really cold today. It's getting the typical weather of Seattle. They gonna have the wedding party tomorrow. We've got to go for shopping, yeah!

We drove up to the north, and went to the place which sells many kinds of oysters. It's right next to the ocean, you can get really fresh oysters in amazing price.

They catch the fresh oysters in the ocean and eat them at the beach. When they do it, they leave the spats in the shells and put them back to the ocean to grow up again.

On the way we came back, we visited to the nursery shop called "KARMA PLACE" which a Japanese lady is running. They sell so many kinds of bamboo and Bonsai and the variety of Japanese goodies. Also you can see the big Japanese garden and have "Maccha(green tea)". I was so surprised I could see that kind of shop.

In the night, mom and I started to prepare the flower arrangement for wedding party. We had bought a whole bunch of flowers, we had to do "water-cut" for their each stems, before we started to arrange. We kept working to make sure the candles, the vases, the flowers and the corsages and the tiara for the bride, on and on... Finally we went to bed around 4:00A.M..

Pike Place Market で買い出し！

２日後に控えた下の息子さんの結婚式のための買い出しに、大好きなPike Place Marketへ

So excited !! We went to the Pike Place Market to buy many things for their second son's wedding 2day later. Started from flowers. Just gorgeous ! And many kinds of fruits, organic vegetables, fresh seafood, and sweets. I got crazy !!!

メキシカン☆ディナー

朝ごはんは、フルーツとトースト。日本からお土産に持ってきた、鎌倉にあるいがらしろみさんのお店「ロミ・ユニ・コンフィチュール」のパイナップルのコンフィチュールをつけて。


夜ごはんは、息子さんの奥様のパパに連れてきてもらったメキシカンレストラン「VERA CRUZ」で。チキンと野菜のファヒータ。ソフトトルティーヤに包んでいただきます。


その後、奥様のご実家を拝見！これが裏庭。お庭っていうか高原というか山...。まわりはなーんにもなくて、車がないとどこにもいけませんが、にわとりが卵を産んだりしてとてものどか。


Breakfast was some toasts and fruits. I put pineapple jam on the bread that I brought as a gift from Romi Igarashi's jam shop in kamakura.

Dinner was at the Mexican restaurant VERA CRUZE. The father of their son's wife took us there. I had fajita with chiken and veges. I rapped them in soft tortilla.

After wonderful dinner, we visited the father's house. Was this backyard ? Can't believe it. It was mountain, wasn't it ? Nothing around there, no car no place to go, but it's very beautiful and quite.

アボガドと鍋焼きうどん

今日は、Seattleのダウンタウンの南にある、Balladという街で、Wさんご夫婦の昔からのお友達Dさんに会いに行きました。彼女はアメリカ人ですが、かつてSeattleの禅センターを運営していて、おうちにも日本や中国のお軸や書物がたくさんありました。


ランチは、やっぱり日本食！まずは冷酒でカンパーイ。
私は夏だけど鍋焼きうどんを食べました。あちー。


momのはBento-Box。こののり巻きは、キュウリじゃなくてアボカドなのです。これいいアイデアかも♪


食べ物のことばかりなので、ちょろっとアメリカっぽいものも紹介。この建物は、昔カーネギー財団が全米に図書館を作ったときのものだそう。今はレストランになっています。


おやつにスタバへ。ここでハニードーナツとアメリカのスタバに置いてる（置いてないとこもある）IZZEという微炭酸のジュースを。私は炭酸飲料は好きじゃないけど、これはおいしい！！


We visited a dad & mom's old friend in Ballad. Mrs.D is an American and organized ZEN center in Seattle before. She had many asian scroll and books everywhere in her house.

Of course, we had Japanese food and sake for lunch. I had "Nabeyaki-udon(Japanese thick noodle in the hot pod, usually in winter)". So hot !!

Mom had Bento-Box. I found the rolled sushi with avocado.　I know california roll but it's nice idea for single roll.I always talked about food. So I should tell something American.

This restaurant had orginally built for the library by Carnegie Corporation.

We took a break at starbacks. I had a honey donut and IZZE. It's very light. I don't like soda, but this IZZE is so tasty. It's in !
