I like SHARP products, especially in the past. I was disappointed when I heard this news. SHARP announced that they will close the factory in Sakai city Osaka prefecture. This factory of SHARP has a story. The plan of building SHARP Sakai Factory was welcomed very much in Sakai city and Osaka prefecture, and also Japan, more than 20 years ago. Chips and LCD panels were very important products for Japan and had exceeded other countries. However, competitors went into the market from Taiwan, South Korea and China.
I read the book "The Collapse of SHARP" many years ago. This book has both Strengths and Weaknesses of Japanese company. We can learn how we can do next from past cases and failures. Of course, practice is the best but learning from books and texts is the good way to expand your capabilities. How many books have you read last year?
In the Japanese traditional business style, education system and aged society, how we can revive our country and its economy? I have no idea.
What are your thoughts about next coming main industry of Japan 20 years later?
