昨日は小田原市に出張でした。
JR鴨宮駅です。南口から出ました。ランチタイムですがお店が全くありません。気分は孤独のグルメの五郎です。
Hello there, I'm glad you're here.
I had a business trip to Odawara city yesterday. I got off at JR Kamonomiya Station. Of course, I have never been here and am not familiar with this town. This picture below is the South gate of the station.
I secured enough time to have lunch and I looked for restaurants while enjoying Roka Sampo. There was no restaurant around there. I was feeling like I was Goro Inogashira of Kodoku-no-Gourmet that is the popular TV series. Where is a restaurant I have to been to? What food do I have to eat?
魚竹。鮮魚がいい感じで魅力的です。
This is Fresh Fish UOTAKE. It look very attractive because I can buy various fresh fish caught in the near ocean.

According to the information and review by Tabelog and Google, Diner Tomoya has good reputation and review score.
あ、いや、これはちょっと入る勇気がありません。ただの民家やん。どうやって入るん？
However, I didn't have brave to enter there because of its weird entrance. It looked just house.

I walked toward North gate of the station.
ここも評価の高いふじや食堂。残念ながら閉まってます。
This is Dining Fujiya, it also has good review score at Tabelog and Google but unfortunately it was closed at the moment.

I walked through Kamonomiya Kitaguchi Shopping street.
新幹線発祥の地らしいです。
I didn't know that Odawara or Kamonomiya is the place of origin of bullet train.
丸登食堂。ここも昭和を感じる御食事処です。
This is Diner Maruto. It also looked traditional diner that you can feel Showa Era.
定食と中華。なんでもこい！
This is the menu. This diner serves set meals of meat cuisines, fish cuisines. And here serves also Chinese foods.
中は節操のない感じで統一感のないポスターが貼ってあります。
The interior made me feel a traditional diner in Showa Era. And I thought the owner doesn't have any policy about posters. There were various and different types of posters on the wall.
アジフライ定食。小田原だしね！アジフライ大好き！
I ordered a set meal of fried horse mackerel. It was 1,000 yen. I am sure that you can't recognize how big the rice bowl is. The rice bowl was as big as Yoshinoya's one.
アジフライが2枚でした！しかも白米が丼飯！
レモンと黄色い辛子で美味しくいただきました。ごちそうさまでした、ｹﾞﾌﾟ。
I was happy unexpectedly that there were two fried horse mackerels. Of course, lemon and yellow karashi were served. These are essential for fried horse mackerel. I love fried horse mackrel. I am sure that horse mackrel is a specialty in Odawara city.
Anyway, I was full very much because it was too much amount to me.

I stopped by a river on the way to the office of my customer. It was hot but felt a little comfortable because of wind.
仕事が終わって小田原駅へ。ちょっと用事があって大阪へ帰ります。名産店で居酒屋新幹線の準備をします。
I moved to Odawara Station after the business meeting. I visited a souvenir store for preparing Izakaya Shinkansen. I took a Hikari Shinkansen from Odawara to Shin-Osaka Station.
ランチが多すぎてお腹がすいてなかったので軽めの居酒屋新幹線。小田原名産の鈴廣のかまぼこ、小魚さつま。それに東華軒のシュウマイ。小田原三昧。
Izakaya Shinkansen was opened.
I bought Syumai of Toukaken in Odawara and fish cake of Suzuhiro, very popular in Odawara. Fish cake is one of the specialties in Odawara city.
