正月に妻の実家のある伊賀市へ行ってきました。
昔は近鉄伊賀線だったんですけど、経営が破綻して現在は伊賀市が運営する伊賀鉄道になっています。伊賀と言えば忍者！名前も忍者市駅になってるし！ﾆﾝﾆﾝ

My family visited my wife's parents on January 2nd who live in Iga city, previously being said as Ueno city or Iga-Ueno.
Iga city is famous for NINJA, right? Tourism is super important for Iga city. When I lived in Mie prefecture, the Line was Kintetsu Iga Line. However, the Iga Line faced on the financial problem and Kintetsu Railways decided to sell off or quit the Line. At the result, Kintetsu Railways and Iga city built Iga Railway to take over the line. Currently, Iga city is the main owner of Iga Railway. Iga Railway changed the name of the station from Ueno city station to NINJA CITY station. I already heard the change but this was my first time to look at the station.
市内循環バスは「にんまる」、かわええ。ﾆﾝﾆﾝ
The community bus service is called as NINMARU. Buses were really cute, NINJAs were drawn.
松尾芭蕉の生家があります。
The very famous Japanese Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo was born in this city.
何故メーテルと哲郎？面倒くさくて読みませんでした(笑)
I am not sure the relationship between Iga city and Reiji Matsumoto who is the famous Manga artist but there are trains of Iga Railway that are designed by him. I didn't read the story on the plate.

It seems that the shopping street, Shintenchi Shopping Street, was the main street in the past. My wife said there were some popular shops in the street. It looked like an outdated shopping street.
上野天満宮
We worshipped Ueno Tenmangu shrine. The statue of cow was wearing a face mask. My daughters pulled a fortune paper again to improve their fortune. LOL
すき焼きをごちそうになっちゃいました。伊賀牛最高！
Wife's parents cooked us SUKIYAKI with high quality Iga beef.
帰りに名阪上野ドライブインへ。
On the way to our house, we stopped by MEIHAN UENO DRIVE-INN, a service area in MEIHAN expressway.
トイレが忍者。ﾆﾝﾆﾝ
NINJA was painted on the wall of the toilet. It would be fun if there were some tricks in the toilet.
奈良の香芝のサービスエリアにも立ち寄って、柿の葉すしを買いました。美味しいんですよね～。第6波が来そうですね。その前に両親に会っておけて良かったです。ってみんな思ってるんだろうなあ。でもその行動が第6波を招いているような気もして複雑だなあ。
We also stopped by another service area in Nara prefecture, and bought Kakinoha sushi that is a famous sushi covered by a leaf of persimmon. The number of daily positive case is soaring but it would be within assumption because virus is still spreading and infected people is dramatically increasing in the world. I am happy to meet with my and my wife's parents before the 6th wave of pandemic. 80% of population took second shot already, vaccination could prevent hospitalization or developing its severity. The government and local governments no longer have enough budget to support people, shops, companies, or so, any more. We need to consider 'WITH CORONA'.

I am thinking about today's Romen house now. This will be my first Romen house this year. According to my blog, the first Romen in 2021 was Mimatsu in Sengakuji area that was currently closed. The first Romen in 2020 was Tanbaya in Shinbashi area, and the first Romen in 2019 was Tenkame Soba in Kanda area.
