Spring/Summer 2011 Collections:7

The last report from the New York Collections is beachwear from designer,
Dorit Lemel, who showed her Dorit International Swimwear for the first time.
Dorit worked for a swimsuit company in Italy for 10 years.
Last October she started her own swimwear line in New York.

“In my line, all the fabric is Italian and it is manufactured in Italy,” Dorit said.
“Good design and high quality are very important for my line.
It is sophisticated and fashionable, and at the same time, colorful and fun.
Of course, the fit is very important too,” she emphasized.

Her Spring/Summer 2011 collection has four groups:

“Metropolitan Jungle”, represents the urban sophistication of New York,
with styles in black and white.

“Positano”, named for the Italian Amalfi Coast resort city, with many pretty
poppy prints.

“Etnico Chic”, imaged for the Sicily islands of Italy, it has sophisticated
design, with dressy cover-ups.

“Esotic”, colorful exotic solids and prints

Each group has solid and printed items that can be combined in many ways –
within the theme and with every other group as well.
“Esotic” pints and “Metropolitan Jungle” solids can be combined to expand
swimwear looks.

Even if you don’t swim, her line has many cover-ups that can be worn
poolside, at the beach and to restaurants and clubs. For example, the blue
dress Dorit is wearing in the photo above, is one of her cover-ups.
It has the same design as an evening dress. On the runway, sexy models
showed Dorit’s line vivaciously.

For the finale, Dorit wore
a black cover-up as a dress.

Currently, her line is only sold in the U.S. In the future, she wants to
expand sales to Europe and South America. And “of course”, she said,
with her eyes shining, “I would like to sell my line in Japan”.

I instinctively looked down at my stomach. To wear one of her swimsuits,
I need a body “shape-up”. Until then, perhaps I can only wear one of her
cover-ups. Why don’t you challenge to wear sexy swimwear next summer?
