2「イスラエルの子らに話しなさい。彼らにこう言うように。『人が特別な誓約の捧げ物として魂をその値積もりにしたがってエホバにささげる場合，
2「イスラエルの人々に言いなさい、『人があなたの値積りに従って主に身をささげる誓願をする時は、
2「イスラエル人に告げて言え。ある人があなたの人身評価にしたがって主に特別な誓願を立てる場合には、
2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘If a man makes a special vow to offer the estimated value of a person to Jehovah,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When a man consecrates by a vow certain persons to the LORD, according to your valuation,
2 “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When a man makes a difficult vow, he shall be valued according to your valuation of persons belonging to the LORD.
2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate a person to the LORD by giving the equivalent value,

3その値積もりが二十歳から六十歳までの男子についてであれば，その値積もりは聖なる場所のシェケルで銀五十シェケルとされなければならない。
3あなたの値積りは、二十歳から六十歳までの男には、その値積りを聖所のシケルに従って銀五十シケルとし、

3 the estimated value of a male from 20 to 60 years old will be 50 shekels of silver by the standard shekel of the holy place.
3 ‘if your valuation is of a male from twenty years old up to sixty years old, then your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
3 ‘If your valuation is of the male from twenty years even to sixty years old, then your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.
3 set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel;

4しかし，もしそれが女子であれば，その値積もりは三十シェケルとされるように。

4 But if it is a female, the estimated value will be 30 shekels.
4 ‘If it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels;

5 If the age is from 5 to 20 years old, the estimated value of the male will be 20 shekels and 10 shekels for the female.
5 ‘and if from five years old up to twenty years old, then your valuation for a male shall be twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels;
5 ‘If it be from five years even to twenty years old then your valuation for the male shall be twenty shekels and for the female ten shekels.
5 for a person between the ages of five and twenty, set the value of a male at twenty shekels and of a female at ten shekels;

6また，その年齢が一か月から五歳までであれば，男子の値積もりは銀五シェケル，女子に対しその値積もりは銀三シェケルとされるように。
6一か月から五歳までは、男にはその値積りを銀五シケルとし、女にはその値積りを銀三シケルとしなければならない。

6 If the age is from one month up to five years old, the estimated value of the male will be five shekels of silver and three shekels of silver for the female.
6 ‘and if from a month old up to five years old, then your valuation for a male shall be five shekels of silver, and for a female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver;
6 ‘But if they are from a month even up to five years old, then your valuation shall be five shekels of silver for the male, and for the female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver.
6 for a person between one month and five years, set the value of a male at five shekels of silver and that of a female at three shekels of silver;

7また六十歳以上は、男にはその値積りを十五シケルとし、女には十シケルとしなければならない。

7 “‘If the age is 60 years and over, the estimated value will be 15 shekels for the male and 10 shekels for the female.
7 ‘and if from sixty years old and above, if it is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels.
7 ‘If they are from sixty years old and upward, if it is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
7 for a person sixty years old or more, set the value of a male at fifteen shekels and of a female at ten shekels.

8しかし，もしその値積もりに比べて貧しくなりすぎていれば，彼はその者を祭司の前に立たせるように。そして祭司はその者の値を付けなければならない。誓約者の達し得るところにしたがって祭司はその者の値を付ける。
8もしその人が貧しくて、あなたの値積りに応じることができないならば、祭司の前に立ち、祭司の値積りを受けなければならない。祭司はその誓願者の力に従って値積らなければならない。

8 But if he is too poor to pay the estimated value, the person will stand before the priest, and the priest will set a value on him. The priest will make the valuation according to what the one making the vow can afford.
8 ‘But if he is too poor to pay your valuation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall set a value for him; according to the ability of him who vowed, the priest shall value him.
8 ‘But if he is poorer than your valuation, then he shall be placed before the priest and the priest shall value him; according to the means of the one who vowed, the priest shall value him.
8 If anyone making the vow is too poor to pay the specified amount, the person being dedicated is to be presented to the priest, who will set the value according to what the one making the vow can afford.

9「『また，もしそれが獣で，人がエホバへの捧げ物に差し出すようなものであれば，その者がエホバにささげる物はすべて聖なるものとなる。
9主に供え物とすることができる家畜で、人が主にささげるものはすべて聖なる物となる。
9主へのささげ物としてささげることのできる家畜で、主にささげるものはみな、聖なるものとなる。
9 “‘If the vow involves an animal that is suitable for offering to Jehovah, whatever may be given to Jehovah will become something holy.
9 ‘If it is an animal that men may bring as an offering to the LORD, all that anyone gives to the LORD shall be holy.
9 ‘Now if it is an animal of the kind which men can present as an offering to the LORD, any such that one gives to the LORD shall be holy.
9 “ ‘If what they vowed is an animal that is acceptable as an offering to the LORD, such an animal given to the LORD becomes holy.
10
10彼はそれを取り替えてはいけない。悪いものに良いもの，また良いものに悪いものをもって交換してもいけない。しかし，もしもそれを，獣に獣をもって交換することがあるならば，それ自体も，それと交換されたものも聖なるものとされるべきである。
10ほかのものをそれに代用してはならない。良い物を悪い物に、悪い物を良い物に取り換えてはならない。もし家畜と家畜とを取り換えるならば、その物も、それと取り換えた物も共に聖なる物となるであろう。

10 He may not replace it or exchange it with good for bad or with bad for good. But if he should exchange it with one animal for another animal, the original and what is exchanged for it will both become holy.
10 ‘He shall not substitute it or exchange it, good for bad or bad for good; and if he at all exchanges animal for animal, then both it and the one exchanged for it shall be holy.
10 ‘He shall not replace it or exchange it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; or if he does exchange animal for animal, then both it and its substitute shall become holy.
10 They must not exchange it or substitute a good one for a bad one, or a bad one for a good one; if they should substitute one animal for another, both it and the substitute become holy.
11
11また，もしそれが何かの汚れた獣で，人がエホバへの捧げ物としては差し出さないものであれば，その者はその獣を祭司の前に立たせるように。
11もしそれが汚れた家畜で、主に供え物としてささげられないものであるならば、その人はその家畜を祭司の前に引いてこなければならない。
11主へのささげ物としてささげることのできない汚れた家畜一般については、まずその家畜を祭司の前に立たせる。
11 If it is an unclean animal that may not be presented as an offering to Jehovah, he will then stand the animal before the priest.
11 ‘If it is an unclean animal which they do not offer as a sacrifice to the LORD, then he shall present the animal before the priest;
11 ‘If, however, it is any unclean animal of the kind which men do not present as an offering to the LORD, then he shall place the animal before the priest.
11 If what they vowed is a ceremonially unclean animal—one that is not acceptable as an offering to the LORD—the animal must be presented to the priest,

12そして祭司は，それが良いものでも悪いものでもそれに値を付けなければならない。祭司の値積もりにしたがい，そのとおりになされるべきである。
12祭司はその良い悪いに従って、それを値積らなければならない。それは祭司が値積るとおりになるであろう。

12 The priest will then set its value, as to whether it is good or bad. The value estimated by the priest will stand.
12 ‘and the priest shall set a value for it, whether it is good or bad; as you, the priest, value it, so it shall be.
12 ‘The priest shall value it as either good or bad; as you, the priest, value it, so it shall be.
12 who will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, that is what it will be.
13
13しかし，もしも彼がそれを買い戻したいというのであれば，その値積もりに加えてその五分の一を納めなければならない。
13もしその人が、それをあがなおうとするならば、その値積りにその五分の一を加えなければならない。

13 But if he ever wants to buy it back, he must then give a fifth of it in addition to the estimated value.
13 ‘But if he wants at all to redeem it, then he must add one-fifth to your valuation.
13 ‘But if he should ever wish to redeem it, then he shall add one-fifth of it to your valuation.
13 If the owner wishes to redeem the animal, a fifth must be added to its value.

14「『また，人が自分の家をエホバへの聖なるものとして神聖にする場合，祭司は，それが良いものでも悪いものでもその値付けをしなければならない。それは祭司が値付けするところにより，そのとおりの価格とされるべきである。
14もし人が自分の家を主に聖なる物としてささげるときは、祭司はその良い悪いに従って、それを値積らなければならない。それは祭司が値積ったとおりになるであろう。

14 “‘Now if a man should sanctify his house as something holy to Jehovah, the priest will then set its value, whether it is good or bad. According to the value that the priest sets, that is what it will cost.
14 ‘And when a man dedicates his house to be holy to the LORD, then the priest shall set a value for it, whether it is good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand.
14 ‘Now if a man consecrates his house as holy to the LORD, then the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand.
14 “ ‘If anyone dedicates their house as something holy to the LORD, the priest will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, so it will remain.
15
15しかし，神聖なものとしたその当人が自分の家を買い戻したいのであれば，値積もりされた金に加えてその五分の一を納めなければならない。こうしてそれは彼のものとなる。
15もしその家をささげる人が、それをあがなおうとするならば、その値積りの金に、その五分の一を加えなければならない。そうすれば、それは彼のものとなるであろう。
15もし家を聖別したものが、それを買い戻したければ、評価額に五分の一を加える。それは彼のものとなる。
15 But if the one who sanctifies his house wants to buy it back, he must then give a fifth of the money of the estimated value in addition to it, and it will become his.
15 ‘If he who dedicated it wants to redeem his house, then he must add one-fifth of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall be his.
15 ‘Yet if the one who consecrates it should wish to redeem his house, then he shall add one-fifth of your valuation price to it, so that it may be his.
15 If the one who dedicates their house wishes to redeem it, they must add a fifth to its value, and the house will again become theirs.
16
16「『また，人が自分の所有する畑の幾らかをエホバに対して神聖なものとするのであれば，その値はその種の量に応じて定められねばならない。すなわち，大麦の種で一ホメルであれば，銀五十シェケルである。
16もし人が相続した畑の一部を主にささげるときは、あなたはそこにまく種の多少に応じて、値積らなければならない。すなわち、大麦一ホメルの種を銀五十シケルに値積らなければならない。
16人がもし、自分の所有の畑の一部を主に聖別する場合、評価はそこに蒔く種の量りによる。すなわち、大麦の種一ホメル毎に、銀五十シェケルである。
16 “‘If a man sanctifies to Jehovah some of the field that he possesses, the value will be estimated in proportion to the seed needed to sow it: a hoʹmer of barley seed will be 50 shekels of silver.
16 ‘If a man dedicates to the LORD part of a field of his possession, then your valuation shall be according to the seed for it. A homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.
16 ‘Again, if a man consecrates to the LORD part of the fields of his own property, then your valuation shall be proportionate to the seed needed for it: a homer of barley seed at fifty shekels of silver.
16 “ ‘If anyone dedicates to the LORD part of their family land, its value is to be set according to the amount of seed required for it—fifty shekels of silver to a homer of barley seed.
17
17もし自分の畑をヨベルの年以後神聖なものとするのであれば，それはその値積もりにしたがう価格とされるべきである。
17もしその畑をヨベルの年からささげるのであれば、その価はあなたの値積りのとおりになるであろう。
17もし、彼がヨベルの年からその畑を聖別するなら、評価どおりである。
17 If he sanctifies his field from the year of Jubilee, the estimated value stands.
17 ‘If he dedicates his field from the Year of Jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.
17 ‘If he consecrates his field as of the year of jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.
17 If they dedicate a field during the Year of Jubilee, the value that has been set remains.
18
18また，ヨベルの後にその畑を神聖なものとするのであれば，祭司はその者のために，次のヨベルの年までに残る年数に応じてその値を計算しなければならない。値積もりの額からの差し引きがなされるべきである。
18もしその畑をヨベルの年の後にささげるのであれば、祭司はヨベルの年までに残っている年の数に従ってその金を数え、それをあなたの値積りからさし引かなければならない。

18 If he sanctifies his field after the Jubilee, the priest will calculate for him the price in proportion to the years that are left until the next year of Jubilee, and a deduction should be made from the estimated value.
18 ‘But if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall reckon to him the money due according to the years that remain till the Year of Jubilee, and it shall be deducted from your valuation.
18 ‘If he consecrates his field after the jubilee, however, then the priest shall calculate the price for him proportionate to the years that are left until the year of jubilee; and it shall be deducted from your valuation.
18 But if they dedicate a field after the Jubilee, the priest will determine the value according to the number of years that remain until the next Year of Jubilee, and its set value will be reduced.
19
19しかし，それを神聖なものとした当人がもしもその畑を買い戻そうとするのであれば，値積もりされた金に加えてその五分の一を納めなければならない。こうしてそれは彼のものと定められる。
19もしまた、その畑をささげる人が、それをあがなおうとするならば、あなたの値積りの金にその五分の一を加えなければならない。そうすれば、それは彼のものと決まるであろう。

19 But if the one who sanctified it should ever buy the field back, he must then give a fifth of the money of the estimated value in addition to it, and it will remain his.
19 ‘And if he who dedicates the field ever wishes to redeem it, then he must add one-fifth of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall belong to him.
19 ‘If the one who consecrates it should ever wish to redeem the field, then he shall add one-fifth of your valuation price to it, so that it may pass to him.
19 If the one who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it, they must add a fifth to its value, and the field will again become theirs.
20
20また，もし彼がその畑を買い戻さず，その畑が別の人のもとに売られたならば，それをさらに買い戻すことはできない。
20しかし、もしその畑をあがなわず、またそれを他の人に売るならば、それはもはやあがなうことができないであろう。

20 Now if he should not buy the field back and the field is sold to another man, it may not be bought back again.
20 ‘But if he does not want to redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed anymore;
20 ‘Yet if he will not redeem the field, but has sold the field to another man, it may no longer be redeemed;
20 If, however, they do not redeem the field, or if they have sold it to someone else, it can never be redeemed.
21
21そして，その畑がヨベルの時に手放される際，それはエホバに対して聖なるもの，奉納された畑とされることになる。その所有権は祭司のものとなる。
21その畑は、ヨベルの年になって期限が切れるならば、奉納の畑と同じく、主の聖なる物となり、祭司の所有となるであろう。
21その畑がヨベルの年に渡されるとき、それは聖絶された畑として主の聖なるものとなり、祭司の所有地となる。
21 When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will become something holy to Jehovah, as a field that is devoted to him. It will become the property of the priests.
21 ‘but the field, when it is released in the Jubilee, shall be holy to the LORD, as a devoted field; it shall be the possession of the priest.
21 and when it reverts in the jubilee, the field shall be holy to the LORD, like a field set apart; it shall be for the priest as his property.
21 When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will become holy, like a field devoted to the LORD; it will become priestly property.
22
22「『また，もしその者が自分の買い取った畑を，すなわち自分の所有する畑ではないものをエホバに対して神聖なものとするのであれば，
22もしまた相続した畑の一部でなく、買った畑を主にささげる時は、
22また、人がもしその買った畑で、自分の所有の畑の一部でないものを主に聖別する場合、
22 “‘If a man sanctifies to Jehovah a field he purchased that is not part of his hereditary property,
22 ‘And if a man dedicates to the LORD a field which he has bought, which is not the field of his possession,
22 ‘Or if he consecrates to the LORD a field which he has bought, which is not a part of the field of his own property,
22 “ ‘If anyone dedicates to the LORD a field they have bought, which is not part of their family land,
23
23祭司は彼のためにヨベルの年までの値積もりの額を計算し，彼はその値積もりされた分をその日に納めなければならない。それはエホバに対して聖なるものである。

23 the priest will calculate for him the amount of the valuation up until the year of Jubilee, and he will give the estimated value on that day. It is something holy to Jehovah.
23 ‘then the priest shall reckon to him the worth of your valuation, up to the Year of Jubilee, and he shall give your valuation on that day as a holy offering to the LORD.
23 then the priest shall calculate for him the amount of your valuation up to the year of jubilee; and he shall on that day give your valuation as holy to the LORD.
23 the priest will determine its value up to the Year of Jubilee, and the owner must pay its value on that day as something holy to the LORD.
24

24 In the year of Jubilee, the field will return to the one he bought it from, to the one the land belongs to.
24 ‘In the Year of Jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to the one who owned the land as a possession.
24 ‘In the year of jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom he bought it, to whom the possession of the land belongs.
24 In the Year of Jubilee the field will revert to the person from whom it was bought, the one whose land it was.
25
25「『さて，値積もりはすべて聖なる場所のシェケルでなされるべきである。一シェケルは二十ゲラとされるべきである。
25すべてあなたの値積りは聖所のシケルによってしなければならない。二十ゲラを一シケルとする。
25評価はすべて聖所のシェケルによらなければならない。そのシェヶルは二十ゲラである。
25 “‘Every value should be estimated by the standard shekel of the holy place. The shekel should amount to 20 geʹrahs.
25 ‘And all your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs to the shekel.
25 ‘Every valuation of yours, moreover, shall be after the shekel of the sanctuary. The shekel shall be twenty gerahs.
25 Every value is to be set according to the sanctuary shekel, twenty gerahs to the shekel.
26
26「『ただし，獣のうちの初子，すなわちエホバのための初子として生まれたものは，だれもこれを神聖なものとして取り分けてはいけない。雄牛であれ羊であれそれはエホバのものである。
26しかし、家畜のういごは、ういごとしてすでに主のものだから、だれもこれをささげてはならない。牛でも羊でも、それは主のものである。
26しかし、家畜の初子は、主のものである。初子として生まれたのであるから、だれもこれを聖別してはならない。牛であっても、羊であっても、それは主のものである。
26 “‘However, no one should sanctify the firstborn of the animals, since it is born as the firstborn for Jehovah. Whether bull or sheep, it already belongs to Jehovah.
26 ‘But the firstborn of the animals, which should be the LORD’s firstborn, no man shall dedicate; whether it is an ox or sheep, it is the LORD’s.
26 ‘However, a firstborn among animals, which as a firstborn belongs to the LORD, no man may consecrate it; whether ox or sheep, it is the LORD’S.
26 “ ‘No one, however, may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the LORD; whether an ox or a sheep, it is the LORD’s.
27
27また，もしそれが汚れた獣の中からで，値積もりにしたがってそれを請け戻さねばならないのであれば，その者はそれに加えてその五分の一を納めなければならない。しかし，もしそれが買い戻されないのであれば，それは値積もりにしたがって売られることになる。
27もし汚れた家畜であるならば、あなたの値積りにその五分の一を加えて、その人はこれをあがなわなければならない。もしあがなわないならば、それを値積りに従って売らなければならない。

27 If it is among the unclean animals and he redeems it according to the estimated value, he should give a fifth of it in addition to it. But if it is not bought back, it will be sold according to the estimated value.
27 ‘And if it is an unclean animal, then he shall redeem it according to your valuation, and shall add one-fifth to it; or if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.
27 ‘But if it is among the unclean animals, then he shall redeem it according to your valuation and add to it one-fifth of it; and if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.
27 If it is one of the unclean animals, it may be bought back at its set value, adding a fifth of the value to it. If it is not redeemed, it is to be sold at its set value.

28「『ただし，奉納されたもの，すなわち人が自分に属するすべてのものの中から滅びのためにエホバにささげたものだけは，人や獣にせよ，あるいはその所有する畑にせよ，いかなるものも売ってはいけない。また，奉納されたものはいかなるものも買い戻してはいけない。それはエホバに対して極めて聖なるものである。
28ただし、人が自分の持っているもののうちから奉納物として主にささげたものは、人であっても、家畜であっても、また相続の畑であっても、いっさいこれを売ってはならない。またあがなってはならない。奉納物はすべて主に属するいと聖なる物である。
28しかし、人であっても、家畜であっても、自分の所有の畑であっても、人が自分の持っているすべてのもののうち主のために絶滅すべき聖絶のものは何でも、それを売ることはできない。また買い戻すこともできない。すべて聖絶のものは最も聖なるものであり、主のものである。
28 “‘But no devoted thing that a man devotes unconditionally to Jehovah from his belongings may be sold or bought back, whether from mankind or animals or the field he possesses. Every devoted thing is something most holy to Jehovah.
28 ‘Nevertheless no devoted offering that a man may devote to the LORD of all that he has, both man and beast, or the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted offering is most holy to the LORD.
28 ‘Nevertheless, anything which a man sets apart to the LORD out of all that he has, of man or animal or of the fields of his own property, shall not be sold or redeemed. Anything devoted to destruction is most holy to the LORD.
28 “ ‘But nothing that a person owns and devotes to the LORD—whether a human being or an animal or family land—may be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.

29奉納された者，すなわち人の中から滅びのためにささげられた者は，これを請け戻してはいけない。その者は必ず死に処せられるべきである。
29またすべて人のうちから奉納物としてささげられた人は、あがなってはならない。彼は必ず殺されなければならない。
29人であって、聖絶されるべきものは、贖われることはできない。その者は必ず殺されなければならない。
29 Furthermore, no condemned person who is set apart for destruction may be redeemed. He should be put to death without fail.
29 ‘No person under the ban, who may become doomed to destruction among men, shall be redeemed, but shall surely be put to death.
29 ‘No one who may have been set apart among men shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

30 “‘Every tenth part of the land, whether from the produce of the field or the fruit of the trees, belongs to Jehovah. It is something holy to Jehovah.
30 ‘And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’s. It is holy to the LORD.

31そして，もしも人がその十分の一のどれかを買い戻したいのであれば，その者はそれに加えてその五分の一を納めるべきである。
31もし人がその十分の一をあがなおうとする時は、それにその五分の一を加えなければならない。
31人がもし、その十分の一のいくらかを買い戻したいなら、それにその五分の一を加える。
31 If a man ever wants to buy any of his tenth part back, he should give a fifth of it in addition to it.
31 ‘If a man wants at all to redeem any of his tithes, he shall add one-fifth to it.
31 ‘If, therefore, a man wishes to redeem part of his tithe, he shall add to it one-fifth of it.

32 As for every tenth part of the herd and flock, everything that passes under the shepherd’s staff, the tenth animal should become something holy to Jehovah.
32 ‘And concerning the tithe of the herd or the flock, of whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the LORD.

33それが良いものか悪いものかを調べてはいけない。それを交換してもいけない。しかし，もしそれを交換するのであれば，それ自身，またそれと交換されたものも，聖なるものとされるように。それを買い戻してはいけない』」。
33その良い悪いを問うてはならない。またそれを取り換えてはならない。もし取り換えたならば、それと、その取り換えたものとは、共に聖なる物となるであろう。それをあがなうことはできない』」。
33その良い悪いを見てはならない。またそれを取り替えてはならない。もしそれを替えるなら、それもその代わりのものも共に聖なるものとなる。それを買い戻すことはできない。」
33 He should not examine whether it is good or bad, neither should he exchange it. But if he would ever try to exchange it, both the original and what is exchanged for it should become something holy. It may not be bought back.’”
33 ‘He shall not inquire whether it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it; and if he exchanges it at all, then both it and the one exchanged for it shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.’ ”
33 ‘He is not to be concerned whether it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it; or if he does exchange it, then both it and its substitute shall become holy. It shall not be redeemed.’”
33 No one may pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If anyone does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.’ ”
