This morning I learned “Svadhyaya”, which is the fourth of the Niyama in The Eight limbs of of Yoga.
Svadhyaya means self-study.
Self-study consists of two sides: outside and inside.
Self-study from outside literally means that you read the books which guide your mind in the better direction.
Self-study from inside refers to learning from wisdom.
By observing yourself deeply, you can find yourself and develop your character.
My yoga teacher introduced the following inspiring quote today:
Live as if you were to die tomorrow,
Learn as if you were to live forever.
This week let's read the books which nourish your soul and practice what you learned from the books in your daily life.
