私たちのレゴの旅はまだ続きます。レゴハウスを楽しんだ後は、レゴランドホテルに移動です。ここに二泊しました。部屋は1番安いpirate room(海賊部屋ってか)笑。部屋には海賊をテーマにしたレゴ作品が色々飾ってあるのですよ。前に書いたかもしれませんが、ここに泊まると子供達は小さなレゴセットをもらえるのですよ(海賊とは関係なかったですけどね。)。ここに泊まって良いことは、レゴランドに行くときにホテルから直通の入り口があること。しかもその入り口はメインゲートよりもアトラクションの近くにあるので自分が乗りたいアトラクションにいち早く行けるということでしょうか。
Our Lego trip continues. After we visited the Lego house, we headed to the Legoland hotel where we stayed two nights. Our room was a Pirate room (most affordable). There are a lot of Lego works related to the theme in the room. I may have written it before, but children get a small lego set for free as a gift (it was not related to pirates though). The advantage of staying Legoland hotel is when you want to go to Legoland, there is a direct entrance from the hotel. And the entrance is located close to attraction area so you can reach to your favorite attraction relatively quickly.
Dropさんにはレゴランドで車椅子を予約していました。でもホテルですでにこれをずっと使いな、と、すでに貸してくれたのです。なので、ホテルからレゴランドへの移動も比較的スムーズに行きました。そうです！レゴランドで丸2日遊び倒しましたよー。
For Drop, we had reserved a wheel chair at Legoland, but the hotel already provided one for him. So he could move around easily from the hotel to the park as well. Yes. We spent two whole days in Legoland. Yeah!
レゴランドは今は結構いろんな場所にありますよね。アトラクションも大概は同じ。でもここ、Billundのレゴランドが最初の一つ。つまりオリジナルなのです。Dropさんのように小さい頃、まだ他のレゴランドがない時に連れてきてもらった記憶のある人には、特にここは特別なようです。乗り物には何も乗れなかった彼ですが、レゴで作られたミニチュアの世界、ミニランドをかなり楽しんでました。
Legoland is now available in quite some locations in the world. The attractions are also similar in each location. But what is special for this specific one in Billund is that this is the original. For a person like Drop, who came to Legoland when he was small, when there was only one Legoland, this park is really special. He enjoyed very much looking at miniland where miniature world was made by Lego even though he could't try a single attraction.

レゴランドはま、いわゆる遊園地です。もちろん子供達は自動車教習所や、NINJAGOなど、いろんなアトラクションを楽しんでました。自動車教習所では交通ルールをはじめに学び(英語)、最後に自分の国の言葉で書かれた免許証をもらえるのです。Boy2 の運転する車の前に置かれたオランダ国旗が見えますか？我が家の子供達はオランダ語の免許証(rijbewijs)を頂きました。ここのこのアトラクションのスポンサーはHyundaiのようですね。確か日本のレゴランドの自動車教習所のスポンサーはトヨタだったような。。ま、ともかく。
Legoland is a theme park. Of course the children enjoyed the many attractions, such as the driving school and Ninjago. At the driving school, you learn traffic rules (in English) and get a drivers licence in the language of your own country. You can see the Dutch flag in front of Boy2's car. He got a Dutch language licence card (Rijbewijs). The sponsor of this attraction is Hyundai. I recall the sponsor of the driving school in Legoland in Japan used to be Toyota?? Anyway.
Boy2は色々なアトラクションを楽しんでいた一方、Boy1は一つに固執してました。そのアトラクションは濡れるので、待ちの列がいつもすごい短いのです。他のアトラクションには結構並んでたんですけどね。
Boy1はそのアトラクションに数え切れないほど何度も行き、二日間に渡って完全に全身ずぶ濡れ。。そのアトラクションとは海賊船といって、水を吹き出す大砲(なんだろうか？)で、船同士で戦う？のです。
Boy2 enjoyed many different attractions but Boy1 stuck to one specific one. Since you get wet in this attraction, the queue for it was always very short, even though the park was pretty crowded. Boy1 went to the attraction so many times and got competely wet two days in a row. The attration is a pirate ship. You can shoot water guns against each other.
あ、私Dropは何のアトラクションにもならなかったと書いたのですが、違いました！一つだけ、やったのですよ。この海賊船、自分自身は乗らなくても、見ている人も船に向かって水を放つことができるのですよ。もちろん船から打ち返してこられるリスクはありますけどね。下の写真はDropがBoy2と一緒に外の大砲にスタンバって、Boy1の船が射的範囲に入るのを待っているところです。
I wrote that Drop couldn't try any attractions. But no! he did one thing! For this pirate ship, you can also shoot from outside. There is also a big risk that you get shot at back from the ship though. The picture below is Drop and Boy2 waiting for Boy1's ship to come within firing range.
他にもレゴランドホテルでは2日に渡り、豪華なブッフェディナーを謳歌しました。料理は本当に美味しかった、少なくとも私には。でもね、子供にブッフェというのは必ずしも良いこととは言えないようで。食べるものといえば同じものばっかり。例えば、ポテトだけとか、スイカだけとか。これが後ほど問題を起こすのですが、それについてはまた。
We also enjoyed the luxry buffet dinner and breakfast at the Legoland hotel for two days. The food was really good, at least for me. However, buffet for children is not always a good idea. They ate the same thing all the time. (for example, only potato or only watermelon etc...) That behavior caused a problem later in the trip for us.....
