このAmebaブログサービスにある面白い機能の一つに「アクセス解析」というのがあります。私自身そんなにマメにブログを書くわけではないのですが、たまに少ないながらも読者の人たちがどのように、このブログにたどり着いたんだろう？と興味が湧いて、このアクセス解析を見てみるのです。それを見ているうちにすごく面白いことを発見したのですよ。このアクセス解析ページにある記事別アクセス数という項目。普通は一番新しい記事が一番に来ます。ま、当然ですよね。でも私のブログのランキングにはいつも上位に入っている記事が一つあるのですよ。しかもそれを書いたのは６年も前なのに！その記事のタイトルは。。。
This blog service has an interesting function called "access analysis". I am not a very frequent blog writer, but sometimes I am curious how people end up to my weblog and check the access analysis. When doing that, I discovered something extremely interesting. It concerns the number of people accessing each article. Normally, when you write a blog, your newest piece comes on top. That is of course understandable. But I discovered one of my articles always ranks highly, even though I wrote that piece already 6 years ago. It is about....

日本語でタウンホールミーティングとGoogleサーチしてみると、確かに私の記事が結構上位に現れるんです（上から五番目でした）。しかも日本人でタウンホールミーティングというタイトルの記事を書く人ってあまりいないだろうと思います。でも何が面白いって、かなりの人数の人が日本語で「タウンンホールミーティング」という言葉を検索していることなんですよ。（ちなみに英語で検索してみると、私の記事は全く現れませんでした。。）
When I search for "town hall meeting" on Google in Japanese, my piece does come up quite high in the results (5th from the top). I can imagine that not so many people would write about town hall meetings. But what I find so interesting is how many people are searching for the term "town hall meeting" (in Japanese). (By the way, when I search for "town hall meeting" in English, my piece does not come at all...)
かなり興味深い。1週間に１３アクセス。１年は５２週あるから１３x５２で１年で６７６の訪問があったということ？この記事は2014年に書いたので、６７６x６で4056の訪問者が！？4056人もの日本人が「タウンホールミーティング」を検索して、私のブログにたどり着いているってこと！？わぉ！（ま、現実はそう単純ではないのでしょうけどね）めちゃめちゃ面白い！
It is very interesting. 13 reads per week, 52 weeks per year; 13 x 52 = 676 visitors per year!? The piece was written in 2014 so.... 676 x 6 = 4056!!! About 4056 Japanese people searched for "town hall meeting" and ended up on my weblog!! (Of course, I know it is not that simple, but it is extremely funny!)
タウンホールミーティングというもの自体、日本人には馴染みのないものなのかもしれませんね。でも世界中の新し物好きなマネージャーさんの中ではかなり人気。笑 この多数のアクセスはそのせいなのかしら。。私のこの記事をアップロードしたらまた新たな訪問者に恵まれるのかしら？？考えてみるだけで楽しい！
The concept of a "town hall meeting" may not be so familiar for Japanese people, but it is popular among mediocre managers all over the world. That is the reason I got so many hits? When I publish this piece, will I get extra visitors to this page as well?? I have so much fun just thinking about it!
