旅行二日目、ハンブルグに泊まった翌日朝、我々再び車を走らせ始めました。今回はその日我らが通った道を先にご紹介したいと思います。
On the second day of our trip, after we rose in Hamburg, we started driving again. This time, I will disclose our route from the start.
地図上の青い線が二日目に我らが通ったルート。またまた国境を超えましたー。今度はドイツからデンマーク！これがBoy1にとっては7つ目の国になります。たったの５歳のくせに。。（ちなみにBoy2にとって２歳にしては4つ目。これもすごい。）ハンブルグから北に走ってゆくと、かなりの数の道路工事に出くわし、結構時間をロスしました。ええ、ドイツ。日本人にとってはドイツってものすごいキッチリしているイメージがあるのですが、道路に関していえば、かなり問題がありますね。。まぁ、今工事をしているということは良い方向に向かっているのかもですが。
Above is the route we drove on the second day of our trip. Again we crossed crossed a border, this time into Denmark! This is the seventh country Boy1 visits. At the age of 5....amazing. (It's the fourth country for Boy2...) When you drive north from Hamburg, there are lots of delays due to road construction. Yes, Germany. We, Japanese people have relatively good image towards German infrastructure, but in terms of roads.... there is a lot of trouble. But they are at least working on them.
ということで、ドイツを出るのに結構時間がかかってしまいました。でも急ぐ旅でもなし。家の地図の赤丸で囲んだあたりで、お昼時になり、その辺りでお昼休憩を取る事にしました。
It took quite some time, therefore, to get out of Germany, We were delayed, but we had no reason to hurry. Around the red circle on the map, we decided to stop for lunch.
上の地図が赤丸部分を拡大したもの。E45という高速道路をまっすぐゆく予定でしたが、地図で見ると、フィヨルドの海岸が近くにあるではありませんか。その海辺の街に行ってみようという事になりました。町の名前はAabenraa。
Above is the enlarged picture of the area where we stopped. We were supposed to go straight on the E45, but I could see there was a fjord close by. We decided to take a break The town is called Aabenraa.
とっても小さな町で、特に可愛らしくも見応えがあるわけでもなく。でも海辺の小さなビーチと数件のレストランがありました。我らにはそれで十分。ようやくデンマークに入ったので、Dropさんのデンマーク語能力を試す機会ですよー。（彼は自称デンマーク語上級者）
It was a tiny town. Not charming, not spectacular, but there was a tiny seaside beach and some restaurants. That was enough for us. We were finally in Denmark. It was also our first opportunity to examine Drop's Danish. (He claims he is fluent in Danish.)
レストランでは私はとってもゴージャスなシーフードランチ（Dropさんが頼んでくれました。さすが！デンマーク語流暢なだけある！）。黄色のイクラにキャビアまでのってるー！その後はそこのビーチで少し遊んでゆく事に。
I had very nice seafood lunch (Thanks to Drop's fluent Danish skill!). Check out the yellow fish roe and black caviar! And we played on the beach for a while.
黒っぽく見えますが、透き通ったバルト海を覗き込むBoy1。海の生き物がたくさん見えました。お魚、海のカタツムリっぽいもの、海藻類等々。ここは小さな港でもあるみたいですね。たくさんの帆船も停泊していました。
Looking into the crystal-clear Baltic sea. There were many sea animals. Fish, molluscs, anemones, sea plants etc. The area also has a small habour. Many sailing boats were berthed there.
ちょっと遊んだ後、再び旅路へ。子供達はすっかりお疲れで車で爆睡。車の中が静かでしたわー。
After we played for some time, we started moving on. The children were completely knocked out by then. So we had a quiet drive from there.
この日の最終目的地はVejleという町。この町の地図上の位置から我らの最終目的地がわかった人もいるかもしれませんね。
The last destination of the day was a town called Vejle. Some people may be able to guess the main goal of the trip by now.
おまけに。これは道中に遭遇した光景。宿泊地の近くです。たまたま半野生の動物たちのいる公園なるものを通ったのです。立派なツノを持った鹿がたーくさん！一人のおばあちゃんがパスタのようなものを餌にあげてました。この遭遇でようやく我らの子供達も目覚めましたとさ。
This is one more thing we encountered on the way close to our staying place. We drove through a kind of park with semi-wild animals. There were a lot of deer with spectacular antlers. One old lady was feeding them some sort of pasta. This was enough activity for our children to wake up!
