-The average age of people who buy wine through WCS is 58.

Risa, you're new here. Perhaps you can see our image with less bias. How do you think the Japanese clients see WCS in terms of our marketing strategy?
- I think our tradition, history and prestige keep us popular with older customers. But relying on this image has made us less relevant with the younger generation.
- How so?
- Well, it can make us seem pompous, less relatable.
- I don't think we come across as stuck up.
- She does have a point, Emily. Younger consumers appreciate creativity, new approaches to wine. If we promote the old guard narrative too much, our competitors will scoop up our next generation of clients.

We have our views in London as to how the last few years have been for WCS, and how we see the market going forward. We'd like to see how these coincide with your perspectives here in Tokyo. Daniel, could you lead us into our first topic?
- So our first topic is how the pandemic has affected you and how things are improving. Ron, could you give us an overview?
- Sure. As for the well-established Bordeaux and Burgundy wines, both collectors and producers are happy. I think our traditional image is hurting us.
