JYJ Yuchun Confirms Big Screen Debut
Yuchun has been cast in director Bong’s first producing film, tentatively titled as “The Sea Fog” (translated title), set to crank in October, an official with his agency C-Jes Entertainment told TenAsia Tuesday morning.
Based on the stage play of the same name, the film will center on fishermen pushed to their limits in a fishing vessel roaming around fog on the sea.
Yuchun wil be playing a sailor crew named Dongsik, who tries to keep her noble and pure love, opposing to the captain (Kim Yoon-seok).
Yuchun has proved his acting skills in previous hit dramas KBS’s “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” SBS’s “Rooftop Prince” and most recently, MBC’s “Missing You.”

JYJ′s Park Yoo Chun Cast for Director Bong Joon Ho′s ′Sea Mist′
JYJ′s Park Yoo Chun will next be putting on an act with famed director Bong Joon Ho.
On August 19, Park Yoo Chun talked about how he feels to be working with director Bong Joon Ho through his official JYJ Naver Line account.
"I′m sorry for bringing this news so late when you would′ve waited for so long," he said. "I really thought this over a lot. I′ll work hard on the new piece and learn more."
He added, "You′ll still have to wait longer, but I will make sure to repay you with great acting. Thanks everyone! I believe that the only way to repay your trust is to do my best with a sincere heart in my role. Thank you."
Park Yoo Chun will be appearing in director Bong Joon Ho′s upcoming film Sea Mist with Kim Yun Suk. The film will be about seamen who board a smuggler ship.
It will also draw participation from director Shim Sung Bo, who wrote the script for the film Memories of Murder.
A rep from C-JeS Entertainment told enews on August 20, "Like he revealed through Line, Park Yoo Chun has recently decided to appear in Sea Mist. We hope to see your support for his first big screen piece."
