Today I would like to show you a display photo of the Japanese Army and Navy Air Force from a friend who is a collector in the USA.
彼はこのブログでも何度か登場されていますが、改めてこの素晴らしいディスプレイを見ていただきたく、お伝えできればと思います。
He has appeared several times on this blog, but I wish I could tell you again to take a look at this wonderful display.

私は、このようなディスプレイをとても素晴らしいと思います。彼は時間をかけて集めた物を正しくディスプレイする為に、多くの情報を集め、私ともたくさんの歴史を共有しました。
イメージをより深くするため当時の写真も額縁に入れて飾り、マネキンのボディも作りあげました。
いつも私は彼の行動に深い敬意を感じます。
I think these displays are very nice, and I am very happy to have been able to see them. He gathered a lot of information and shared a lot of history with me as well in order to properly display the objects he collected over time.
He also framed and displayed photos from the period to enhance the images and created the mannequin bodies.
I always feel deep respect for what he did.

「私のコレクションは何年も前、12歳の時に始まりました。3歳の頃から第二次世界大戦の飛行機が大好きで、当時はフライトヘルメットが格好いいと思っていました。大人になるにつれ、軍事史にも興味を持つようになりました。本を読むたびに、（あらゆる国の）パイロットに対する真の感謝の気持ちが芽生えました。彼らの飛行への愛情、技術、勇気、任務への献身、そして仲間の飛行隊員への献身は、彼らを尊敬と称賛に値する素晴らしい戦士にしていました。フライトヘルメットの収集は、私の航空史への愛の延長線上にあります。それはまるで、小さな歴史を手にしているようなものです。」

‘My collection started many years ago when I was 12 years old, I have loved WWII planes since I was three years old, and at the time I thought flight helmets were cool. As I grew older, I became more interested in military history. With each book I read, I developed a genuine appreciation for pilots (of all nations). Their love of flying, their skill, their courage, their dedication to their duty and their devotion to their fellow airmen made them wonderful warriors worthy of respect and admiration. Collecting flight helmets is an extension of my love of aviation history. It's like holding a little piece of history in my hands.’
