最近、聞いて感動した曲を忘れないようにここに記録しておこうと思います。
The Black Eyed Peasの "Where Is The Love?"という曲です。この曲は2003年に発表されているので、もう２０年以上も前につくられています。でも、私は全然知りませんでした。2016年にも違うバージョンで再発表されていて、それにはジャスティン・ティンバーレイクなども参加しているようです。
The Black Eyed Peasはアメリカのヒップホップグループで、これまで６度もグラミー賞を受賞しているとのこと。人気グループのようです。（先月、GMO SONIC 2024に参加、また15年ぶりに大阪と名古屋でライヴも開催されたようです。）
この"Where Is The Love?"という曲ですが、なんといってもその歌詞がすばらしく心に響きました。ウクライナやガザでのことを思うと、まさに今この曲の歌詞がぴったりとくると感じています。そして、このような曲を聴くたびに思うことは、音楽には力があるということです。
