突然ですが、ポカリスエットゼリーの新しいCM見ましたか？
Have you seen the new Pocari Sweat Jelly commercial on TV?
母親役の吉田羊さんが子供役の鈴木梨央ちゃんのゼリーの発音を直す設定なのですが、
In it, a mother, by Yo Yoshida, is trying to correct the pronunciation of her daughter, by Rio Suzuki, of the word "jelly."
最初に見たときはびっくりして、「まさか～！」と思いました。
When I first saw it, I was shocked and said, "No way!"
きっと冗談か、わざとやっているのだ、と思ったのですが、ネットで調べてもそんなことはどこにも書かれていないのです。
I thought it was meant as a joke, or they were doing it on purpose. I searched on the Internet for some explanation, but I didn't find anything.
ブライアンにも見せたところ、彼も唖然としていました。
I showed it to Brian, and he was stunned also.
何がびっくりかって？
What were we surprised about?
だって子供が正しく"jelly"と言ったのを母親が"no, no, no, jerry"って、逆に間違いを教えちゃっているんです。
Well, the child said "jelly" correctly, but the mother says, "no, no, no, jerry," which is incorrect!
こんなCM出したら、世の中の人々が発音を誤解してしまいますよね。
A commercial like this would make people misunderstand the pronunciation.
皆さんは勘違いしないでくださいね。

ゼリーは"jelly"です。"jerry"ではありません。
It's "jelly," not "jerry."
