先週の火曜日に、今度はブライアンが今年二度目のぎっくり腰
Last Tuesday, Brian injured his back for the second time this year.
夫婦そろって腰痛に悩まされています。
We both suffer from lower back pain.
しかし、彼の場合は、私のとは比べ物にならないほど、重症です。
But his problelm is so much more severe than mine.
まっすぐ立てない、歩けないのはもとより、寝返りも打てない状態になります
Not only he can't stand straight or walk but he can't even turn over when he is lying on a bed or a couch.
火曜日、水曜日は私もお世話になった東林間のにしかわ整骨院さんで院長に施術していただきました。
On Tuesday and Wednesday I took him to Nishikawa Orthopedic Clinic in Higashirinkan, and had the director treat Brian.
かなり楽になったのですが、痛み止めが欲しいとのことで、木曜日に痛相模原病院に行き、ちょっと強めの痛み止めを処方していただきました。
He got much better, but he still had pain, so we went to Sagamihara Hospital on Thursday to get strong pain pills prescribed.
お陰様で、かなり回復しましたが、結局、私の誕生日プレゼントの軽井沢旅行はキャンセル
He has recovered a lot, but we had to cancel the trip to Karuizawa which we planned for my birthday.
あ、ちなみに今日、誕生日でした
Oh, by the way, my birthday was the 26th.
「じゃあ、うかい亭にランチに行こう」って言ってくれたのですが、なんと、うかい亭は月曜が定休日
Brian said, "Okay, how about lunch at Ukaitei for yoru birthday," but unfortunately, they were closed on that day.

一人で寂しく映画を見に行きました
So, I just went to see a movie by myself.
「美女と野獣」を見たんですけど、まあまあだったかな～
I saw "Beauty and the Beast," which was all right.
ミュージカルはそこまで好きではないので。
I'm not much of a musical fan.
いずれにせよ、毎年やってくる誕生日には、また一年無事に、そして幸せに生きることができたことに感謝して一日を終えるようにしています。
Ahyway, on every birthday I try to finish my day feeling grateful for having lived another year safely and happily.
