まず、1番と2番の歌詞が対照的になっています。1番ではテープが「繰り返し流れていた」のですが、2番ではそれを懐かしんでか、自分の意思で「繰り返し流して聞いて」います。
つぎに、彼女との距離感の表現について。
1番のABメロや「September song 」の歌詞の付近ではお互いのことが「You and I」「we」と表現されていて、親密な感じがします。対して2番のAメロ部分の歌詞の「her」表記、サビの「YOU're only fifteen」（他の部分はWE're fifteen）などは相手のことを他人行儀に表現していて、今は親しくないことをほのめかしています。（PVや歌詞全体の印象としては、もう他人だけど、お互いの心の中での存在はすごく大きいって感じかな）
