チャップリンのThe Great Dictatorを観た。
遅ばせながらチャップリンのThe Great Dictator（邦題：独裁者）を観た。
なるほど天才なんだな。って思うほど色々よく出来てて、その一つ一つを上げていったら軽く論文かけちゃいそうだけど、ココではあえて一つだけにしておきたい。以前から話には聞いていたが、実際観てみてコレは一生モノだと思ったので、自分の覚書としてもココに残しておきたい。この映画のラストを決めるチャップリンのモノローグ。
Hope… I’m sorry but I don’t want to be an Emperor – that’s not my business. I don’t want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible, Jew, gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another, human beings are like that.
We all want to live by each other’s happiness, not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone.
The way of life can be free and beautiful.
But we have lost the way.
Greed has poisoned men’s souls – has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed.
We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in: machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.
The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, cries out for universal brotherhood for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me I say “Do not despair”.
The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress: the hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took from the people, will return to the people and so long as men die liberty will never perish…
Soldiers – don’t give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you – who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you as cattle, use you as cannon fodder.
Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts. You are not machines. You are not cattle. You are men. You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don’t hate – only the unloved hate. The unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers – don’t fight for slavery, fight for liberty.
In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written ” the kingdom of God is within man ” – not one man, nor a group of men – but in all men – in you, you the People have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness. You the people have the power, to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of Democracy, let us use that power – let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world. A decent world, that will give men a chance to work, that will give you the future and old age and security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie. They do not fulfil their promise, they never will. Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfill that promise. Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness.

このメッセージを1940年に発信してるのがスゴイ。（第二次世界大戦は1939-1945）現代の様に歴史を振り返って作るのではなく、正にその時代に生き、その問題に直面している人たちが（まぁこの映画は、作・演出・プロデュース・主演：チャップリンですが(^_^;)）、同じ時代に生き、苦しんでいる人たちに向けたメッセージだから、熱と言うか、勢いと言うか、焦点の定まり方が半端じゃない。コレほどdirectなスピーチはやっぱり当時じゃなきゃ撮れなかったんじゃないかと思う。
日本は今、戦争をしたがってる様な人たちが政権を握りました。丁度今日、ふと、ヒットラーが独裁者になれた前提に、カリスマ性のある明確な指導者が居ない時代がずっと続いてたってのがあったなぁって思いだしてその話をしてたら、親父がいつの間にか買ってたこのDVDがたまたま棚の奥から出てきた。見始めた時はこの繋がりを特に意識してなかったけど、このモノローグに差し掛かった時にハッとして、この言葉を覚えて置かなきゃって思った。これからもし日本が戦争をする国に傾こうとしたなら、その時にきっと政治家達やそれに引っ張られる世論は最もらしく理に叶った様な理屈で煽動するだろう。みんなが普段不満や不安に思ってる事を取り上げて、その解決策と戦争を繋げて来るだろう。俺もバカだから、理屈だけを見て、賛同してしまうかも知れない。でもやっぱりどんな時代、どんな状況でもit's wrong to go against humanity.当事者たちがいつの時代もそう言ってるんだ。だから、このモノローグを覚えておいて、いつでも引き出せる様にしておかなきゃって思った。
因みにこのモノローグの和訳もココに貼ろうかと思ったんだけど、あんまり気に入ったヤツが無くて止めた。いずれ自分で訳してみようと思う。

料理男子！！
先月ABC Cooking Studioさんの「料理男子」と言うウェブシリーズの撮影をしてきました！
すごくおしゃれなスタジオで、スタッフの方々もとてもあたたかく、リラックスした空間を作って頂いた事に感謝感謝です。
今回紹介してるのは僕がニューヨークに住んでいたと言うことで、ニューヨーカーメニューです。
（多少日本っぽいアレンジはありますが。）
これでもかって位簡単で、しかも美味しくて、さらに国内では多分そんなに広まってないので、新しい味！ギリシャ風ヨーグルトなんて置いておくだけだもんね。簡単過ぎて手応えない。。。でも普通のプレーンヨーグルトが、ふわふわのヨーグルトクリームみたいになって超うまいよ！！是非お試しあれ。
このシリーズは毎月違う人が誰でも簡単に作れるメニューを紹介するもので、個人的にはLesson 2.のカルボナーラなんかオススメです！これからもどんどん続く続いて行くそうなので、コレを機に本当に簡単で美味しいレシピおぼえて見てください♪

観劇記録15連発
最近色々観たのに
なかなか書く時間が無い。
しっかり思った事を
書こうとするとやっぱ
それなりに時間かかるし。
でも書かないとドンドン溜まって、
そのうち古いヤツは
書かずじまいって事も多々。
(因みにブログはちゃんと
改行して書いた方がイイって
指摘があったのでチャレンジ中。)
なので忘れない内に
とりあえず書いておこう。
(でも短い感想や観劇記録は
ツイートしてるから
コレじゃ一緒ではσ(^_^;))
書きそびれてたやつ一気に書く。
まずは、結構前になっちゃうけど
「モンティ・パイソンスパマロット」
＠赤坂ACTシアター
モンティ・パイソンのシュールさは
ちょっと伝わりにくかったけど、
後半は日本っぽいノリに改良されてて、
コレはコレでありだと思った。
途中休憩入るまで
主役がユースケ・サンタマリアさん
だって気づかなかった。
テレビとは違った雰囲気。
演じ分けてて凄かった。
SHINGENでお世話になった
和泉さんの舞台＠能楽堂
まだ若い娘さん達ですが、
さすがはプロ！！
とても楽しませて頂きました。
「BJリーグオールスター」
芝居じゃ無いけど
日本のプロバスケリーグのひとつ。
幼馴染がコーチやってて、
教えてもらった。
バスケ、やっぱ面白い！！！
「ルネこだいら能・狂言鑑賞会」
高校の時にお世話になった
遠藤先生が出演してるって
聞いて見に行った。
遠藤先生は結局後見だったけど、
東次郎先生観られて大満足。
唐相撲って言う曲は中々豪華。
「パレード」＠天王洲銀河劇場
お芝居自体はちょっと
あんまりだったけど、
ルームシェアのあの感じは
恐ろしい位共感出来た。
原作の映画見てみたい。
巣林舎「近松門左衛門 出世景清」
あまり馴染みの無い分野だから
触れるだけでも色んな勉強になった。
ただもともと浄瑠璃だから
人形を使った芝居を人間が演ると
生々しい。。。SEXシーンとかっ！(笑)
親友の妹のライブ。
私的すぎるか。
とっても良かった。
これからが楽しみ
武士道の「以蔵 -IZOH-」
SHINGENでお世話になった
幸村さんの率いる劇団。
殺陣もさることながら、
ストーリーもかっこ良かった。
文学座の「三人姉妹」
初めて紀伊國屋ホール
(サザンシアターでは無い方)
に行ってその古さに衝撃を受けた。
昭和の高度経済成長期に思いを馳せた。
出演されてた役者さん達は
さすがにみんな上手だった。
個人的にマーシャの夫にやられた。
終盤で彼のリアクションに
俺の心が砕け散った。
脇組の「石川五右衛門」
新宿のグローブ座も初めてだった。
意外に(?)舞台が3/4 thrustじゃなかった。
前回のSHINGENとは違って
今回はコメディー満載で超笑った！！
次賀さんが何度も息を呑むような
アクションやってて、
やっぱスゲぇなぁ～！！って思った。
友人のバレエ
基本生徒の発表会だったけど、
飽きさせないように
趣向を凝らした演出、
衣装とかもかなりプロ級でビックリ。
舞台上での人の動きとその意味は
中々勉強になった。
文学座「父、帰る／おふくろ」
開演まえの舞台上だけでも
想像力が掻き立てられるセット。
計算された配置とシンプルさが
お洒落で期待値MAX。
南さんみたいな演技が
出来るように成りたいと思った。
友人の一人芝居＠Pink Cow
日本とアフリカのハーフで
純正名古屋人の友人が
自身の生い立ちと体験を
歌を交ぜながら語る。
NYで会った友達なんだけど、
すごくポジティブで魅力のある人。
素材が良いので当然、
ステージも良い。

演出は興味深かったけど、
コクーンシートはまずかった。
舞台の3/4見え無かった
あれで5000円はちょっと、、、
好きな役者さん
沢山出てたんだけど、
ウ～ン、残念！！
そして明日、
PROJECT HIP×絶倫マリー
「ＣＨＲＩＳＴ ～クライスト～」
SHINGENでお世話になった
萬谷さんの舞台。
サスペンス・ロックミュージカル。
楽しみ！！
こうやって書いてみると
いかに自分が写真を
撮ってないか気づく。
精進すべし。
