6月の挑戦は・・・English!
「令和チャレンジのごはん」に続き
今月は英検2級に挑戦しようと思い
英語コーチの 武智清香さんにご相談。
私の「英語を学ぶ目的」を伝えたところ
「それなら点数とるための勉強より
アウトプットの環境を作って、
ご自身が伝えたいことをベースに
ライティング→スピーキングのサイクルを
まわしたほうがいいと思いますよ！」
とアドバイスをいただき、
「たしかにーーーーーー！！」って
早速・・・ やってみました！！

結論、めっっっっちゃ難しかった！！！！！
完全に原稿を読んでます（笑）
もっと気楽に撮ってもいいんだろうけど
そうすると自分のブロークン英語のクセに
気づけないままになっちゃうから
一度ちゃんと原稿を作って、
そこからフレーズとか言い回しを
繰り返してアウトプットしたほうが
勉強になると思ってやったんだけど・・・
ううん・・・これだと続かないかな・・・。
ちょっとやり方を考えないとね！
あのね、
先月あまりに慣れてない手つきで
炊飯器でごはん炊いたのも、
今回カンペ読みまくりの英語を
こうやってさらすのも、
私だってふつうに恥ずかしいです。
でも、人にどう思われるかな、
周りにどう思われるかな、を気にして
おとなになるといろんな挑戦に
消極的になってしまう。
ビジネス教えててもさ、
「周りの反応が気になってSNSも苦手で・・・」
という人たちもたくさんいるんだよね。
でも、周りが気になって
自分の人生にブレーキかけるってもったいなくないか？
子どものころって下手でもなんでも
まわりにどう思われるかなんて気にせず
やりつづけていたじゃない。
人の目じゃなくて、
自分の毎日に集中しよう。

Hi, This is Miho.
I’d like to start record my videos in English from today.
Last month, as some of you may know, I started a challenge to cook food for myself every day.
I never used to cook in the past but now I am having so much fun, learning to cook new types of Okazu.
Then, I thought… What should I do to challenge myself this month?
After giving it some thought, I knew I could improve upon my English a little bit more.
So, I went to Sayaka-san, an English coach based in Kagawa, and received excellent advice.
Instead of studying for an exam like TOEIC or Eiken, she recommended me to start speaking English publically,
And as my first step, I am recording and sharing this video with you all today.

After a busy last month, I’m here at the Park Hyatt in Shinjuku for a relaxing staycation over the weekend.
This hotel was the stage for “Lost in Translation” and is one of my favorite hotels in Tokyo.
Swimming in the gorgeous pool, eating steak at the New York Grill, and listening to live jazz while sipping on a cocktail has got me so excited for another wonderful month ahead.
I made a last-minute decision to fly out to LA today to spend a week for work,
And will make sure to film some videos while I’m there.
