難易度の様々な読み物が掲載されておりなかなか良い。
分からない単語を調べるのに dictionary.com を見つけた。
stem : the stalk that supports a leaf, flower, or fruit. / A stem grows from the seed.
stalk : any slender supporting or connecting part of a plant.
soak : 水を吸収する。 Dead trees soak up water from the ground.
rot : 腐る。 The trunk slowly rots.
frost : 霜 A frost lies on the ground.
disguise : to conceal or cover up the truth or actual character of by a counterfeit form or appearance.
conceal : to hide; withdraw or remove from observation; cover or keep from sight: He concealed the gun under his coat.
ingredient : something that enters as an element into a mixture: Flour, eggs, and sugar are the main ingredients in the cake.
illness:健康を損ねた状態
disease:原因や症状が特定できる病気
disorder:生理的な異常や心身の機能障害を強調
malady:diseaseと同義だが古風. 比喩的に使うことが多い.
ailment:（軽い）病気, 疾患；不快
