Today, I picked up Koji from the malt factory first thing in the morning, and then I helped Mr. Kakashi sort the black rice by color.
Before you can start, you have to clean all the elevators that will be used.
When we opened the bags of black rice to be sent to the color sorting machine, we were surprised to find that the rice had not yet been hulled or dehusked.
This meant that more elevators had to be cleaned because the trip to the color grader was longer!
Anyway, after that, I got a bag of 6th year rice from the warehouse to be shipped.
Then Mr. Kakashi told me that he was going on a business trip to attend a meeting of organic farmers.
Sounds interesting!
I hope Mr. Kakashi will write a blog about what he learned at the meeting.
I could learn a lot!
