Hey Jane, here I am at last!
ハイ、ジェーン、やっと来たわよ！
Hi Kathy, welcome to Hudson !
Hope your trip here was okay.
ハイ、キャシィ、ハドソンへようこそ！
ここまで来るのだいじょぶだったならいいけど。
Okay? It was awful frankly said, but I managed.
だいじょぶ？　正直言ってひどかったわ。だけどなんとか、ね。
Oh I'm sorry to hear it. How awful was it?
あら、かわいそうに。どうひどかったの？
Soon after arriving the stinking station,
this guy came to me and offered me a help.
あのぼろい駅に着いたとたん、
1人の男が来て手伝ってくれるっていうのよ。
Oh, how nice, but why is that so awful?
あらステキ。なんでそれがひどいの？
I thought he was gonna steal my stuff.
だって荷物を盗もうとしてるのかと思って。
Oh, you live in a city too long.
He must have meant well for you.
ああ、あなた都会に長く暮らしすぎたのよ
彼はきっとあなたのためを思って。
Must he? I didn't think so anyway.
Then I had trouble finding a cab.
そうかしら？とにかくそう思わなかったのよ。
それからタクシーを見つけるのが大変。
Why didn't you call us from the beginning?
You were supposed to let us know when to get there.
そもそもどうして電話してくれなかったの？
いつ着くか知らせてくれることになってたでしょ？
My cell went out of batteries
]and I couldn't find a pay phone either.
ケータイが電池切れだったし、公衆電話も見つからなかったの
Ah, that's why. I was just wondering.
そんなわけね。どうしたかと思ってた。
Never mind that.
Anyway, another guy came to offer me a ride, too.
それはどうでもいいわ。
とにかく違う人が車に乗せてくれるって来たのよ。
I don't doubt it. We usually give anyone a ride.
フシギじゃないわ。みんな乗せてくれるのよ。
Well it seems so, but I didn't buy it.
そうみたいね。でもあたしは乗っからなかったの。
Why? How did you get here then?
どうして？じゃあどうやってここに来たの？
Another guy asked if I'd like a ride,
so I took the chance.
また違う人が来て乗らないって言ったの。だからいちかばちか乗ってみたわ。
Was he nice?
彼ステキだった？
He looked all right.
Wasn't my type at all, but safe at least.
見てくれはまあまあよ。私のタイプじゃないけど、少なくとも安全そう。
Well, I'm glad you made it. Where is he now?
まあ、着いてよかったわ。その人はどこ？
Oh, he's gone. He lives a mile from here.
行っちゃったわ。ここから1マイルのとこに住んでるって。
Good, I may know him then.
You may bump into each other again sooner or later.
よかった。なら私も知ってる人かもしれない。
遅かれ早かれまたハチ合うかもしれないわね。
Where's Tom? How's he doing these days?
トムはどこ？　最近はどうしてる？
Oh, same ol here.
He's in a farm planting and watering under the sun.
ああ、相変わらずよ。
太陽の下で畑に植え込みや水遣りをしてるわ。
Good for you guys.
Wondered you guys were bored already.
それならよかった。もう飽き飽きしてるんじゃないかと思ってた。
Bored? There's no time for being bored here.
So many things to do, but I will make time to hang around with you.
飽きる？飽きてる時間なんてここにはないわ。
やることいっぱいで。でもあなたと過ごす時間はつくるわよ。
Great, let's go somewhere and buy me a drink first.
やった～。どっか行ってまず飲み物でもおごってちょうだい。

Jane, I think I'm going home tomorrow.
ジェーン、私明日帰ろうと思うの。
Oh so soon? I had some more days off for you.
え、そんなに早く？まだ2，3日あなたのためにとっといたのよ。
Thanks, but I'm already bored,
though I enjoy being with you guys.
ありがとう。だけどもう退屈しちゃって。あなたたちといられるのは楽しいんだけど。
Don't be silly.
What happened to the guy you met last ight?
なにバカなこと。昨夜会った人はどうしたの？
Oh, he's all right.
Sweet I should say, but that's all.
ああ、フツーよ。優しいっていうか、でもそれだけ。
He seemed so into you.
What more do you want?
彼あなたに夢中だったみたいよ。それ以上何を望むの？
Oh, you wouln't understand
caus' you are happy with Tom.
もうアナタにはわからないわ。だってトムで満足してるんだから。
I would. I find Tom sometimes boring, too,
but who else there?
わかるわよ。私だってトムは退屈だと思うけど他に誰かいる？
Exactly. Everyone here is sweet and boring.
At least to me.
そこよ。ここに住んでる人はみんな優しくて退屈。少なくとも私には。
You mean too safe and peaceful?

Why don't you come with me to the city for a few days?
シティの方へ私といっしょに2，3日来ない？
Oh, can I? You don't mind my staying in your house?
えっ、いいの？　あなたの家に泊まっても邪魔じゃない？
Not at all. Do so and I take you all the places for fun.
ぜんぜん。そうしなさいよ、いろんな楽しいとこへ連れてくわ。
Wouldn't be so bad if I take a break from this country life.
この田舎の生活からちょっと離れるのも悪くないかもね。
