　From this small estate, the Guinaudau family (who also own Chateau Lafleur) consistently produces a top notch wine from its 40 acre vineyard. A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2009 is the best Grand Village I have ever tasted. Offering considerable value, it is a fat, plump wine displaying loads of red and black fruits, outstanding purity, and a long finish.

　A sleeper of the vintage, this wine from the Guinaudeau family (the proprietors of Lafleur) may well be the best I have tasted from them. A blend of 75% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, the wine is more opulent and concentrated than previous vintages. With powerful kirsch and black raspberry fruit notes intermixed with hints of underbrush and licorice.
