改めて自己紹介 Once again, my self-introduction

前回投稿させて頂いた

京都フィルムメーカーズラボ

『京都フィルムメーカーズラボに参加して来ました！』

そこで初めてお会いする方々の前で自己紹介した時の文章を

ここにも共有させて頂きます

In my previous postKyoto Filmmakers Lab
I introduced myself in front of the people I met there for the first time.
I would like to share it with you here as well.

「Hello!

My name is Yoshiko Watanabe.

I have worked in Japan as an actor, 

an assistant director and an extra casting manager 

for music videos, movies and dramas.

I was born in Fuji City at the foot of the famous Mt.

My family was a tailor of men's clothing.

Until high school, I did not like myself very much,

I gave up thinking that I could not do anything.

But I only liked to draw pictures.

I graduated from high school and went to Tama Art University in Tokyo.

When I was a university student

I decided to make a career out of what moved me the most.

At that time, I liked American MTV,

I loved Madonna and Michael Jackson.

My dream was to be an entertainer like them.

But I was not a good singer and dancer.

I decided to become an actor and a filmmaker.

I have written and directed two independent films.

The second film I directed, "TIG HUG" is one of my very favorites.

Last year I worked on the American drama "TOKYO VICE Season2 " 

and learned how fun it is to work with people from overseas,

I joined Kyoto Filmmakers Lab to work more internationally.

I am currently working on my next film, "Tomorrow, in Asakusabashi. 

I want to make a film that sends a message to people 

who have given up on themselves (just like I did in the past).

If you don't give up on yourself, your life will be exciting!」

「こんにちは！

私の名前は渡辺喜子と申します。

私は日本で俳優や、ミュージックビデオや映画、ドラマの

アシスタントディレクターやエキストラのキャスティング担当をした

経験があります。

私は有名な富士山の麓の富士市で生まれました。

私の家は紳士服のテーラーでした。

高校生まで、私は自分があまり好きではなく、

自分は何もできないと諦めていました。

でも絵を描くことだけは好きで

高校生を卒業して東京の多摩美術大学に行きました。

私は大学生の頃

自分が一番感動した事を仕事にしようと決めました。

その頃、アメリカのMTVが好きで、

マドンナやマイケルジャクソンが好きでした。

そして私の夢は彼らのようなエンターテイナーになる事でした。

しかし、私は歌とダンスが下手なので

俳優や映画作りの道に進みました。

私は今までインディーズ映画を2本脚本＆監督しました。

2本目の監督作品、「tig☆hugちぐはぐ」はとてもお気に入りの作品です。

去年アメリカのドラマ「TOKYO VICE シーズン2」のお仕事をして、

海外の人との仕事の楽しさを知り、

もっと国際的に仕事をしたくて京都フィルムメーカーズラボに参加しました。

私は今、次の作品「あした、浅草橋で。」を作ろうしています。

自分を諦めている人に(まるで昔の私のように)

メッセージを送る映画を作りたい。

あなたがあなた自身の人生を諦めなければ、人生はエキサイティングになる」
