最終日だけは
米国参政権のない私も
生放送で観ました
息子は、FTで
タミちゃんのご両親とも
意見交換しながら視聴
うちは、特に右も左もなく
親世代がそうであったように
ただ真面目に働けば
小さな家が買えて
子供を育てながら
平和に小市民的な
暮らしができる未来を
我が子に願っています
叶うものならば
我が子や
アメリカの子だけでなく
世界中の子供達に
人権を守る社会には
手間や金がかかり
その手間や金をケチれば
非人間的で生き辛い社会が
出来上がるので
バランスが非常に難しい
狭い鶏舎に押し込める方が
平飼いよりも
安上がりで儲かるのと
同じ道理ですよね
私が渡米した頃に較べ
改善した面も
きっとあるアメリカだけど
今のように、政治的に
ここまであからさまに
国民が二分して
対立し合うことは
国力を弱め
つけ入る隙を与えてしまう
そんな今の🇺🇸で
民主党大会を観ていた時
数年前に亡くなった
テキサス出身の
カントリーシンガーの
古い歌をふと思い出し
今でもキリスト教徒が多い
現代のアメリカン達へ
贈りたくなりました
