今回はみんな大好き！？スーパー銭湯
です
銭湯は公衆浴場、
英語で言うなればpublic bathと言えますね。
日本特有のものを紹介するときには、
そのまま固有名詞でsuper sentoのように言っても
大丈夫です
その代わり、その固有名詞がどんなものなのかを
しっかり英語で説明しましょうね！
海外では、水着を着用して入るスパのようなお風呂
はあってもなかなか裸で入る公衆浴場は珍しい
みたいです。
オンライン英会話で日本の温泉や銭湯の話を
すると、驚かれることも多いですよ
In Japan, there are public baths that are open for anyone to use called sento.
Even as most homes began to have their own bath, the public bath continued to play a role as a social gathering place where people would mingle in the nude.
Although the number of small public baths in towns is falling, large scale deluxe public baths, or "super sento," (deluxe public baths in English), are actually becoming more common.
The super sento, which is said to have appeared in the 1980s, is a kind of leisure facility where visitors can enjoy various kinds of baths like Jacuzzis, as well as saunas, beauty treatments, karaoke, games, and dining. This makes the facility good fun for people of generations who are unfamiliar with the public baths you find in town.
Super sento are popular facilities that are visited by families, couples, and friends, even though they have a bath at home.

日本には、銭湯と呼ばれる、誰でも利用できる公衆浴場があります。各家庭が風呂を備えるようになっても、銭湯は地域の人たちが裸のつきあいをする社交場のような役割を果たしてきました。現在町なかの小さな銭湯は少なくなりましたが、反対に増えているのが、大型のスーパー銭湯です。1980年代に登場したといわれるスーパー銭湯は、ジャグジーなどさまざまな種類の浴槽やサウナがあるほか、エステやカラオケ、ゲーム、食事なども楽しめるレジャー型の銭湯です。そのため、町なかの銭湯に馴染みのない世代の人々も楽しめます。家族連れやカップル、友人どうしなど、自宅に風呂のある人々がわざわざ訪れるほど、スーパー銭湯は人気の施設です。
