いつものように、ジャパンタイムス「英作文問題完全制覇」をもとに演習する。
今回は 国際テロについてのトピックを選択した。
Agree or disagree : International terrorism will never be eliminated.
まず、ノートに肯定側を鉛筆で書き写す。無心に書いて１３分かかった。
考える時間として、１０分確保できたことになる。
ちなみに、肯定側の理由は「対テロ戦争の矛盾」、「グローバル化」、「根本的原因」
否定側の理由は「テロ行為阻止の技術」、「偏見のない教育」、「生活の質の向上」であった。
ここで気がついたのだが、自分の意見は否定側に近い。
ということは、否定側を書き写したほうが勉強になったのでは。。。
という反省は次に生かし、否定側は音読でフォローすることにする。

では、さっそく書いてみることにする。
立場はそれでも「肯定側」。意見は「否定」だが、否定のほうが立論を覆さなくてはならない分、手間がかかると考えた。
理由１ 政治・経済 積年の国境問題など、歴史的な問題が存在する。
理由２ 宗教・文化 文化的に「目には目を」という問題解決を肯定する人がいる。
理由３ 産業・技術 戦争産業が存在し、武器を調達している。
今日は、ジャンルから問題点を考えてみた。けっこううまくいったと思う。このアイデアを出すのに５分かかった。

Agree or disagree : International terrorism will never be eliminated.
I agree with the opinion that international terrorism will never be eliminated. Due to globalization, the issues such as national security, cultures based on religions and business are all involved with people from countries to contries and not easily solved.
First, national security is a priority for any nations. There are some countries which threatens borders and territories that people inherited from the anscestors. We cannot force someone deprived to give up without enough compensation. If they can not retrieve them, they are likely to resort to power.

Second, some religion allows people to pay the enemies back what they gave. In that sense, revenge through violence is justified and even reginimate. As civilized generation, we had better learn how to dialogue and negotiate. Yet as long as the idea is deeply rooted, I con't think people cannot change their behavior so easily.
Third, there are war marchant and sell firearms to be used in terrorism. If there were not any weapons, the damage will be smaller. As whole, we should take measures to mediate conflicts through economy and so on. And show a good example to the terrorist group that there are some other ways to make the situation better.
For these reasons, I feel sorry but the international terrorism will never be eliminated.

国際的なテロリズムはなくならないという意見には賛成です。 グローバル化により、国防、宗教文化、ビジネスなどの問題が、国や地域を超えて多くの人を巻き込み、簡単には解決できなくなっています。
I agree with the opinion that international terrorism will never be eliminated. Due to globalization, the issues such as national security, cultures based on religions and business are all involved with people regardless of country and cannot be easily solved.
まず、国家の安全保障はどの国にとっても優先事項です。 先祖代々受け継いできた国境や領土を脅かす国もあります。 奪われた人に十分な補償なしに諦めさせることはできません。 奪ったものを取り戻せなければ、武器に頼ることになるでしょう。

第二に、宗教によっては、敵から与えられたものを返すことが許されています。 その意味では、暴力による復讐は正当化され、英雄的でさえあります。 文明人として、私たちは対話と交渉の方法を学ぶべきです。 しかし、復讐という概念が根強く残っている限り、そう簡単に行動を変えることはできないと思います。
Second, in some religions, it is allowed people to give back what you were given from your enemies. In that sense, revenge through violence is justified and even heroic. As a civilized generation, we had better learn how to dialogue and negotiate. However, as long as the concept of revenge is deeply rooted, I don't think people cannot will be able to change their behavior so easily.
第三に、戦争商人がいて、テロに使うための銃器を売っている。 もし武器がなければ、被害は小さくなるでしょう。 全体として、私たちは経済やその他の方法で紛争を解決するための手段を講じるべきです。そして、状況を改善するための他の方法があることを、テロリストグループに良い例として示すべきです。
Third, there are war marchants selling firearms for use in terrorism. If there were not any weapons, the damage would be less. Alll in all, we should take steps to resolve conflicts through economic and other means. And we should set a good example to the terrorist group that there are some other ways to improve the situation.
このような理由から、残念ですが、国際的なテロリズムがなくなることはありません。
For these reasons, I feel sorry but the international terrorism will never be eliminated.

というわけで、ちょいちょい間違えているが、理由３つの内容がしっかりしているので、これなら合格しそうかなと思う。本日はここまで。
