マタイの福音書16:13-28 Matthew 16:13-28
13 ピリポ・カイザリヤに行った時、イエスは弟子たちに、「みんなは、わたしのことをだれだと言っていますか」とお尋ねになりました。
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
14 弟子たちは答えました。「バプテスマのヨハネだと言う人もいますし、エリヤだと言う人もいます。また、エレミヤだとか、ほかの預言者の一人だとか言う人もいます。」
14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 「では、あなたがたは、どうなのですか。」
15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 シモン・ペテロが答えました。「あなたこそキリスト（ギリシャ語で、救い主）です。生ける神の子です。」
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 「ヨナの息子シモンよ。神があなたを祝福してくださったのです。それを明らかにしたのは、人ではなく、天におられるわたしの父です。
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
18 あなたはペテロ（岩）です。わたしはこの大きな岩の上にわたしの教会を建てます。地獄のどんな恐ろしい力も、わたしの教会に打ち勝つことはできません。
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
19 あなたに天国のかぎをあげましょう。あなたが地上でかぎをかけるなら、天でも閉じられ、あなたが地上でかぎを開けるなら、天でも開かれるのです。」
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
20 このあとイエスは、ご自分がキリストであることをほかの人に話してはいけない、と弟子たちに注意なさいました。
20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.
21 その時からイエスは、ご自分がエルサレムに行くことと、そこでご自分の身に起こること、すなわち、ユダヤ人の指導者たちの手でひどく苦しめられ、殺され、そして三日目に復活することを、はっきり弟子たちに話し始められました。
21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
22 ところが、ペテロはイエスをわきへ呼んでいさめました。「先生。とんでもないことです。あなたのようなお方に、そんなことが起こってなるものですか！」
22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
23 しかし、イエスはふり向いて、「サタンよ。下がれ。そのようなことを言って、わたしをわなにかける気ですか。あなたは人間的な見方をして、神の見方を忘れている」とおしかりになりました。
23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
24 それから、弟子たちに言われました。「だれでもわたしの弟子になりたければ、自分を捨て、自分の十字架を負って、わたしについて来なさい。
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
25 いのちを大事にする者は、いのちを失うことになります。しかし、わたしのためにいのちを投げ出す者は、それをもう一度自分のものにできるのです。
25 For whoever wants to save their life[e] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
26 たとえ、全世界を自分のものにしても、永遠のいのちを失ってしまったら、何の得になるでしょう。いったい、永遠のいのちほど価値のあるものが、ほかにあるでしょうか。
26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
27 メシヤのわたしは、やがて、父の栄光を帯びて、天使たちと共にやって来ます。そして、一人一人を、その行いによってさばくのです。
27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.
28 今ここにいる者の中には、生きているうちに、わたしが御国の力を帯びて来るのを、その目で見る者がいます。」
28 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
◎ペテロの上に築かれる教会、キリストの宣言
・ペテロに天国のカギ→教会が天国に至る通路とか待機所になる→伝道
◎「下がれサタン」
・「イエスはメシア」として理想的な回答をしたペテロとの対比→霊的vs人間的
・イエスに対する人間的な誘惑と捉えられる→良心であれば必ず正義という錯覚
◎「いのち」
・原文には「永遠のいのち」ではなく「いのち」→日本語版ではわかりやすくするために「永遠のいのち」→本物の「いのち」は、この世を生きている今の「命」ではなく「永遠のいのち」の方→イエスはその「いのち」を与えることの確立の証拠
【適用】ペテロにならうこと
・間違いかも知れないが発言すること→指摘されることを恐れない（サタン呼ばわり）→ペテロが知るのは聖霊を受けてから→人間的な考えとか勘違いは過程として必要だった→間違いで落ち込むことも時に必要
