29 さて、再びガリラヤ湖に移ります。イエスは丘に登り、腰をおろしておられました。
29 Jesus left there and went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up on a mountainside and sat down.
30 そこへ、大ぜいの人が、足の不自由な者、盲人、体の不自由な者、口のきけない者をはじめ、たくさんの病人を連れて来たので、イエスはその人たちをいやされました。
30 Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them.
31 なんという驚くべき光景でしょう。口のきけなかった者が興奮して話しだし、歩けなかった者が歩きだし、盲人が見えるようになったのです。人々は驚き、心からイスラエルの神をほめたたえました。
31 The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.
32 イエスは、弟子たちを呼び寄せて言われました。「この人たちがかわいそうです。もう三日もわたしといっしょにいて、食べ物はとっくになくなっています。このまま帰らせたら、きっと途中で倒れてしまうでしょう。」
32 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”
33 「でも、こんな寂しい所で、これほどたくさんの人です……。それだけの食べ物を、いったいどこで手に入れるのですか。」
33 His disciples answered, “Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?”
34 「今、手もとにどれぐらい食べ物がありますか」「パンが七つと、小さい魚がほんの少しだけです。」
34 “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked.
“Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
35 それを聞くと、イエスはみんなを地べたに座らせました。
35 He told the crowd to sit down on the ground.
36 そして、七つのパンと魚を取り、神に感謝をささげてからそれを裂き、弟子たちに渡して、一人一人に配らせました。
36 Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people.
37-38 女性や子どもを除いても、四千人もの群衆でしたが、だれもが満腹するほど食べました。あとでパンくずを拾い集めると、なんと七つのかごがいっぱいになりました。
37 They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
38 The number of those who ate was four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 そこで、イエスは人々を家に帰し、舟に乗ってマガダン地方へ向かわれました。
39 After Jesus had sent the crowd away, he got into the boat and went to the vicinity of Magadan.
◎2度目の給食の奇跡
・弟子たちの心に変化があるのでは→また食事の奇跡があるかも知れないという期待
・会衆はどうだったか不明も前の奇跡は聞いていたはず→期待あったのでは
★この方ならやってくださるという期待
★信仰：思ってもみないことが実現する＜期待していたことが実現する→赦されることがわかるから悔い改める
【適用】昨日と同じだが、状況からの脱却を真摯に祈る
・状況が変えられた奇跡体験→期待していいんだ
・more than enough
