たぶん10年以上前に買ったのではなかろうかと思いますが
ずっと大好きなアルバムです。
その中の１曲目に収録されてる
The Blessings(Oidhche Mhath Leibh)
初めて聴いたときは「あ～これが聴きたかったの！」と嬉しかったのを覚えてます。
気づくと鼻歌で歌ってることがよくあります。
アイルランドのゲール語かと思ったら
スコティッシュのゲール語だったことを知りました。
（CDには英語の訳詞だけで、歌詞が書いてなかったのです。）
ちなみに対訳は

アイルランドに行ったとき
ダブリンの教会で、並んでいたメッセージカードの中から
１つを選んで買ったのですが、
そのOld Irish Blessingsにどことなく似ている感じもしてます。
大好きな歌です。
いつか歌えるようになりたいです。
いろんな方のバージョンがありますが
Connie Doverのはなぜか、亡くなったペットや動物たちへ捧げる絵のバージョンしか
なかったです。
