Events,,, (there are several definitions to this word, however, I really don't care for this particular moment).
I love organizing events!
Now, why is that?
First of all,,,
Generally speaking, there is your "ordinary life", then your "extraordinary moments",,,
I believe an event is something that exists on the extraordinary side.
It is different every time. Always new, never a routine. Fresh.
Many creative ideas could put into shape, and be delivered to people. Flexible.
These are the two major points I would like to point out why events are just so awesome to organize.
Well, that's just me shouting out how great an event is.
Let's try to convey this idea from a more objective viewpoint.
Why organizing events are important, and in demand??
Some events are organized to gather certain kind of people, or people who have something in common.
Therefore, events could create a place where these people can meet up, creating a new social chemical reaction. A place where new ideas would come to birth; where collaboraion gets started.
A conference of any kind, an exhibition, a fair, etc... these kinds of events could be categorized into this section.
Another kind of events could be a place where people come to enjoy what's been offered in that particular event. Festivals like Music festivals, Film festivals, any public festivals could be categorized under this section. People come to these events to enjoy, create and reinforce their identity, find new ideas or organizations, shops, groups of people, etc.
Some events could be purely business style, such as a promotion of upcoming product, or service.
Some are events to help certain group of people, such as donation events, or farmers' fair etc.
As you can see, an event is something with a purpose, but at the same time, it is something that's expexting serendipity to appear.
The magic of events happen when this serendipity occures.
That's what I always look forward to when organizing events.
There is this Japanese word "Yuragi",which could be translated in to words such as "tremor" or "fluctuation". It describes a state where things are unstable, and there is a chance of something uncertain to happen. It is recognized as the state where innovation or new ideas come to birth.
I believe events are one great form of art to create this Yuragi environment. Therefore, events could play an important roll for innovation, or a new creation of something valuable.
That's why I would like to get involved, organizing events of all sorts.
-----
I'm writing this because I'm trying to set a life goal to myself, which is to organize my own events.
And in order to do so, understanding the significance of what you want to do is crucial.
To be continued.
