紅葉を見に養老渓谷まで行ってきた。
Visited Yoro Keikoku valley for seeing autumn leaves.
Took reserved seats for the open-air "Torokko" train.
Retro and local atmosphere.
Amazing experience although the weather was not fine.
Got back to Goi station after we enjoyed Ashiyu foot bath at Yoro Keikoku station.
Found an old type of train cars at Okayama station in the evening on a business trip.
Early in the next morning, set out for riding the train.
吉備線の総社行き
Here comes, composed of four cars of Kiha 40 and 47, bound for Soja via Kibi line.
Passengers were few.
By about 40 minute ride, arrived at Soja. Still in dark.
Old fashioned front street of Soja station backside.
Walked to see the morning scenery at the bridge over Takahashi river(高梁川). Cloudy but fairly bright.
There seemed a bird sanctuary in the river bank.
Stone statues aside the road back to the station.
At Soja station, saw the sleeper express Sunrise Izumo passing. Missed to capture.
Got back to Okayama via Hakubi line for breakfast and joined the business.
伯備線倉敷駅のEF64
Also saw a JNR type locomotive EF64 at Kurashiki station in the afternoon. Nice to have had a trip seeing living railway heritage.

After my jogging routine, set out for cycling in Minuma.

Had a low water level.
Once got home and departed for cycling. Passed under the train bridge of Tobu Line over Shibakawa river.
Saw three kinds of herons meeting on Shibakawa river.
Dropped by a Soba restaurant near Shintoshin(新都心) station.
Color of water at the ruin of Ko-Numa(高沼または鴻沼) irrigation intake from Nishiberi channel.
Shifted to Shibakawa river again. Near the exit of the Shuto expwy #5.
Got back to Nishiberi channel. Enjoyed flexibility and speed of bicycle suitable for the landscale there.

Found an interesting place on the map but was not available due to works.

Began proceeding upstream of Kataya river(加田屋川), a branch of Shibakawa river.
Broad paddy field chlated by Kataya river and Higashiberi(見沼代用水東縁) channel.
A short day of autumn getting closed.
Here found a remained farm of garden trees.
Kataya river explore ended at this point in the residential.
Got home via the same crossing as in the morning.

Mist in the morning, yet not much cold I felt.

滑川町の農産物直売所で秋の味覚を買い込んできた。
Found lots of autumn produce at Namegawa-cho farmers' vender.
A rare variety of persimmon(黒柿). The skin is black and the tip is pointed. Taste not bad.
