Ants(アリ)は子どもたちの友達、道端でも公園でもあちこちで見かけます。ファーブル昆虫記の「アリの行列」は有名ですが、アリは一度通った同じ道をたどって巣に戻ります。子供の歌は繰り返しが多く、一部違った表現が挿入されています。言葉の使い方が広がります。

2番は two by two(2匹ずつ) で to tie his shoe (靴紐を結ぶ)
3番は three by three (3匹ずつ)で to climb a tree (木に登る)
4番は four by four (4匹ずつ)で to shut the door
5番は five by five で to take a dive
6番は six by six で to pick up sticks
7番は seven by seven でto pray heaven
8 番は eight by eight で to roller skate
9番は nine by nine で check the time
10番は ten by ten で to shout "The End "
