Someone can't get enough of money/power.
ある人は、金を／力をいくら得ても満足できない。
And then he lose intersted in other things.
で、他の事への興味を失う。
Someone can't get enough of the painted lifestyle.
ある人は、塗り固められた、

虚飾的な／空虚な生活をもっと欲しがる。
And then she lose money or precious time.
で、お金や貴重な時間を失う。
Many of them have biased character/personal quality.
彼らの多くは、偏った人格を有する。
In some cases, a biased human turn twits into tyrants or the barefaced impudence.
時には、偏った人間は暴君や厚顔無恥へと変化する。
To be more specifically, it's a lack of shame, moderation, moduratery function.
もっと言えば、羞恥心／節度／調節機能の欠如である。

When you feel thirsty, you should not drink a cup of marine/ocean water.
喉が渇いたからと言って、海水を飲んではならない。
Then the drought in your spirit get worse and worse easily.
その渇ききった心は、ますますひどくなる。
Over much of bad habits/cacoethes drive someone to a higher ground of detachment or amentia/intellectual disability.
過度な悪癖は、ますます人を、

無関心や白痴へと追いやってしまう。
And then the human relations of wheels fall off.
そして人間関係の歯車が狂い始める。
In some cases, their lives proceed straight into disaster.
時には彼らの人生は破局へと向かう。
