昨日は熱帯雨林特有の蒸し暑い天気。
地元の人たちはストームがくるんじゃないかと噂してるけど私的には来てもらいたくないε=(｡・д・｡)
そんな天気の中、ケアンズカジノのライブしてきました。
いままでのカジノのライブの中でいいパフォーマンスできたと思う。
やっと雰囲気もつかめ、楽しめるようになってきたけど、
後、３週でこのハワイアンフェアー終わっちゃいます(ﾉ_-｡)
でも、常に何か新しいアイデア発見できるので、パフォーマンススキルのいいトレーニング．．．。

well i hope not coming here .
yesterday was casino's gig. i think we did the best performance so far in the cairns casino today.
we certainly got used to.. i started enjoy this gig.
but we only have 3 gigs to go.
it's great experience for performing..we get better each time.

何を私たちが最近してたのか興味あったらみてください。
youtubeに参加して約１週間。既に９人もの色々な国の方々が読者登録してくれました。
後、youtubeとホームページのおかげで、
アメリカのウクレレフェスティバルの人たちから連絡があり、
参加してみないかとのお話も頂きました。(///∇//)
まだそのフェスティバルに行くかどうか色々な面ではっきりわかりませんが、
ホームページの立ち上げをしてくれたマフューとダニエルには、
感謝してもしきれないくらい感謝してます。
anyway, it's been too busy with youtube to write this blog...
it's so much fun!! we are being member for a week and we already got 9 subscribers ..
and also we got ukulele connection in U.S., he invited us to play one of ukulele festival..
i'm not sure we can make it or not .. but it's great opportunity which the youtube & our web site gave us..

今日はtoday
今日はクランダカフェでライブ。
とにかく暑い！！
最近パーリーシェルズという、ハワイアンの曲をやり始めたのだけど、タニヤさんの声と曲、ウクレレの音がすごく今日の雰囲気にあっていて、そんな感じの、スローテンポの曲をメインにやりたくなるような南国特有なゆっくりした雰囲気:*:・(￣∀￣)・:*:
もちろんうちのバンドの色でもあるアップテンポの曲も混ぜ込みながらのライブでした。
こんな日を過ごすと私はなんてラッキーなんだろうと思います．
we had a gig at the kuranda cafe.
it was really hot day but really easy-going atmosphere, today was the day, nice to play slow songs..rather than energetic songs.. well we did play energetic songs eventually..
we recently add a hawaiian tune"pealry shells" beautiful song with ukulele and tanya's beautiful vocal.. it's much with this tropic climate.
anyway it was one of really hot lazy afternoon, but people were still stopping by and enjoying nice afternoon with us.
i always think how lucky we are..

リハーサル rehearsal
今日のリハーサルは新しい曲がメイン。
ジョン（ギターリスト）がいつも私たちがやりたい曲があると、それをきいてその場でスラスラとコードを書いていく．だいたい３、４回きいて曲のコードとアレンジがすべてコピーできる。その横でいつもタニヤかダニエルが歌詞をコピーしてる。で、私はというと、いつもみんなすごいなと感心しながらみんなにコーヒーやお茶つくってます。
で、ストラミングは何回か録音曲きいてる間にどんな雰囲気か聞き取れるので４、５回弾いて曲のアレンジ話し合って終了、リハーサルしてるときが一番プロっぽいなといつも思います。
そんな感じで今日のリハーサルも無事終了。
明日のライブでは今日練習した新しい曲弾く予定。
we mainly practiced new songs today.
when we start to do a new song, it's really amaging quick process.
john can copy any song just listen recorded music only few times.
during that, tanya and daniel copy a lyric
...and i always make some coffee and tea for them.
after copy a song,we play few times and have a discussion about arrengement...that it.
new song is ready for next gig...
i feel really professional when we are having a rehearsal...
余談ですが最近風邪をひいてしまって昨日は熱と頭痛に悩まされながらもジャムしにいってきました。
ウクレレを弾く指が熱でいたくなったのは初めて。でも強い酒飲めば治るだろうとよく飲み、ジャムでよく動いたせいか今日は元気。
ジャムでジュリエットさんがピーターセラーのthe partyくれました。
面白さも衣装もすばらしい１９６８年（だったと思う）のコメディー。たくさんある私のお気に入り洋画のひとつ。
おっと、話がずれた。
yesterday we went to jam night.it was a fun but i had a bad cold..
i had first experience of finger ache by a fever.
but i feel fine today, parhaps i drank some strong booze and enjoyed the night which helped me a lot:)
oh, at the jam night, juliet gave me the wonderful movie call "the party" which peter sellers act main character..
which is one of my favorite comedy.i think it came out 1968...
and amazing costume..bra bra bra...
...the talk shifts...

ジャム jam session
隔週水曜、地元のプロ、アマチュアミュージシャンが集まってジャムを地元の友人が主催してます。
ちなみに前回は２０人以上の人が集まった。
色んな人が色んな楽器や食べ物、飲み物を持ってくるので（わたし達はいつもウクレレとその時てじかにある酒類をもっていく）色んな楽器をためしたり、もし色んな人が弾いててウクレレのはいる隙がないときは友達と話したり、時々、ギターのテクニックをおしえてもらったりできるのでいつも楽しんでます。
今週がその水曜なので楽しみ(^∇^)
その他にも小規模なジャムを不定期で色んな友人の家でやってるのだけど、
新しいサウンドシステムが家にあるので近いうちにここでしようという話になった。
んー。楽しみヾ(＠°▽°＠)ﾉ

so we can try different instrmental and if i can hear sounds became full which we can't see any space to fill up with ukulele sounds,i can chat with friends...

this wednsday is this jam night .
we also have jam nights different friends house irregularly,
because of this new sound system, we may have a jam night at this house some time soon.

クランダベランダレストランでの30回記念のライブ。
私達の友達や常連の方々、キュランダのスプリングフェスティバル＆アンフィシアターの２５周年のライブで私達のことを知って新しく来て下さってる方々に恵まれ、いいライブができました(^∇^)
これを期にここでのライブは月一になる予定。
今日のライブもビデオをとったので編集終わり次第なんらかの形でアップする予定です。

we had really good gig today because of our really supportive friends, this restaurant's regular customer and new people from spring fest.and AMPHITHEATRE 25th anniversary.
from now on our gig gonna be once a month at the kuranda veranda..
oh,we took video today i'm planning to up our video on our web site sometime soon.
今日はとにかく暑かった。この熱帯雨林の中にあるキュランダ村では珍しい乾燥した晴天の日。
ライブ中、髪が汗のため身体中、ウクレレにもからまってた（余談だけど、髪を日本出てからそのままのばし続けてるので今、髪の長さはお尻のラインをちょうどこえたぐらい）。
湿度の急激な変化はアコースティック楽器には良くない(ﾉ_-｡)
we had really hot&dry day...which was really rare in rainforest..
my hair stucked on my body and ukulele because of sweat
(my hair is really long..past my bottom)
sudden change of humidity is not good for acoustic instrmental.

私達の友達や常連の方々、キュランダのスプリングフェスティバル＆アンフィシアターの２５周年のライブで私達のことを知って新しく来て下さってる方々に恵まれ、いいライブができました(^∇^)
これを期にここでのライブは月一になる予定。
今日のライブもビデオをとったので編集終わり次第なんらかの形でアップする予定です。

昨日 yesterday
昨日のケアンズカジノは前回よりうまく行ったような気がする( ´艸｀)
今回はもっと気楽(特にレストランとエントランス)にできたけど、まだ知らない人達に微笑むのに違和感が∑(－x－;)(特にカジノ）
今回、笑顔をたくさん見せようと決めていたのだけど、笑顔を見せても反応が返ってくるわけではないので、笑いながらも顔が時々痙攣してた(_ _。)他のエンターテイナーはどうしてずーっと笑顔でいれるのか知りたい！！！
まあそれだけは経験がものをいうんだろうなと感じた。
来週もあるのでがんばってみよう。
演奏の方はウクレレもいつも弾いてるような感じで弾けて反応も前回に比べると良かった気がする。
スティーブさんとリサさん（私達の友達）が見に来てくれて二人を見かけたとき知っている顔を見れて、ホッと気が楽になった(^∇^)。
今までウクレレ弾きながら歩き回った経験が少ないため、腕と足が終わった後疲れて悲鳴をあげてたけどよく寝たせいか疲れも解消。
we played at the cairns casino yesterday.
we did better performance than last time.
i felt much much easier this time, i's really enjoyed to play in restaurant and entrance sections.but i found it's hard to smile to everyone who unnecessary intersted to us especially game section.
but i tried my best,though after past half of set my smile became twitching...
i was wandering how other entertainer can manage to keep smiling..
i gess it's matter of experiance.well we have next week, i will try my best.
and this time we played better than last time, we got much better reactions from people.
while we are playing we saw our friends lisa and steve,who made us uplifted.
we are really lucky to have such a great couple as friends :)
this time also had very sore right arm from holding ukulele and legs...
but i had a big sleep,so it's alright.
カフェクランダぼライブもいい感じだった(o^-')b。
友達が色んな場所に行って音の確認した所、音量は少ししかあげなかったのに相当遠くへいってもクリアな音で聞こえるとのこと。
高かったけど値段に見合った価値があるなと満足(￣▽+￣*)
明日のライブでまた使うのが楽しみо(ж＞▽＜)ｙ ☆

our friend told us about they could hear our playing from far distance with clear sound.
we are really satisfied our sound system.
i'm lookin forward to using this tomorrow's gig again.

写真でもみえるように時々ダニエルは曲によって使うテクニックが違うのでウクレレを押さえるために腹巻きをつかってます。
as you can see daniel sometimes uses a sarong around his waist to hold his ukulele for some different techniques.
リハーサル終了。今日のリハーサルは新しいサウンドシステムを試すのがメイン。
音がいい。使い心地はアコースティックの音にボリュームコントロールがついたような感じ。
モニターがないのは慣れてるせいか少し違和感があるけど何自分がしてるのかよく聞こえるので演奏には全く問題なし。ウクレレの音がこんなにもいい状態で使えるアンプは初めて。
っといってもそんなに色んなアンプ使ったことないからえらそうなこといえないけど。
でも明日のライブで使うのでとても楽しみγ(▽´ )ﾂヾ( ｀▽)ゞ

i've never tried lots of amplification system,but i can say it's the best sound i've ever get with my sweet ukulele:)
it was little bit funny feeling without monitor, just becouse i'm used to have a monior.
anyway i can't wait to use this tommorow's gig.
