このニュースはスペインのコロナウイルス感染者数や死者数が急増していた３月頃のもの。
morgueは、遺体安置所。Weblioでは「(身元不明の)死体公示所、モルグ、(新聞社の)資料室、調査部、(資料室の)(参考)資料」。
語源は、
