In a world gone mad for food mash-ups, perhaps no dish has been more abused than burrito. Cooks eager for new things have imagined ever more fanciful applications for the basic principle of food packaged in another food: sushi burritos! Dessert burritos! Pizza burritos!
And so we shouldn’t even be slightly surprised by the last riff on the format, which is a whole value of breakfast ingredients coated not only in a tortilla, but also a mummy-style envelope of … wait … the asiago cheese with crusty bagel dough. Einstein Bros. Bagels, the geniuses of this innovation, have dubbed the concoction the “Bagelrito”.
いろいろな料理の「マッシュアップ」が考えられてきたが、ブリトーほどいろいろ組み合わされたものはなかなかない。そんなブリトーの「マッシュアップ」の中で生まれたのは…ベーグルとブリトーのマッシュアップで、「Bagelrito」。
このBagelritoをmonstrosityと形容してる。monstrosityは、「巨大なもの、まったく醜いもの、奇怪、怪異」。すぐにわかるようにmonsterから来てる。
