広島の厳島神社のお土産は今はしゃもじですがお土産の元祖は有名な色ようじです。そもそもは弘法大師が厳島に楊枝を献上された故事にちなんでおります。芸集厳島図絵に掲載されております。このことが元来有名な木工と結びついて生まれました。出来た楊枝に色を付けて色楊枝として販売しておりました。それぞれのお土産屋さんが出入りの木工の職人さんに頼まれて色々な形の楊枝が競われました。細工や色合いなどが店ごとに違うのですから楽しいものです。今回は船津屋さんの楊枝のご紹介です。
Now the souvenir of Miyajima in Hiroshima is wooden rice scraper.Original one was colorful toothpicks.
It comes from the old fact that originally the buddhist Kobo presented the toothpicks to the Itsukushima shrine. It is shown in the book of [Geisyu Itsukushima due]. This story and wooden craft had tied and wooden hand made new souvenir was born.Each souvenir shops and craftmen planed and created own crafts and competed the design and color.
