I enjoyed my stay.

This location was in a good spot. 2 minutes walk from the center of Puerto Viejo, away from all the noise. The own was friendly and helpful for recommendations where to eat in town. The rustic room had plenty of space with a kitchen to cook in the room. It also had a shared kitchen available also. The garden setting made a peaceful place to relax.

Hard to complain for $20 a night

Pro, it’s one notch better than camping. Con, it’s one notch better than camping. Love the dog!

Perfect for a clean place to stay

Exactly what we needed for two nights. Pros:clean, lovely Mediterranean design and air conditioning was on point. Cons: no tv and awkward parking. I would definitely go back

Great Staff, Great Stay!

We are a couple from Canada and stayed for three nights in early March 2013 at Hotel Boutique Indalo. We were happy with our stay and the hotel offered good value. Christina and Carlos are very nice people and we felt very comfortable and welcome at their hotel. The hotel is located on the edge of town, with forest just behind and a short walk to the bars/restaurants along the beach. The rooms are basic with bare concrete floor and walls offering a unique design, no a/c but the fan (and weather) kept the room cool. There was however some concrete residue over our bags from the floor and shelves. Bathroom was open concept (no door/curtain on shower, and small door to toilet stall) so not ideal unless fully comfortable with your travel partner. Tin roof was nice with light rain but very loud when it rained hard, still no problems sleeping after a long day exploring. Christina recommended a night walk with their neighbour Carsten, it was great! Enjoyed our stay.

Roots Family is right!

I stayed here 15 nights total and would happily do it again. The owner Chantal is hands on and helpful while also making sure her volunteers know what to do. I saw many people come and go and the volunteers we’re wonderful and beyond helpful with all of them, including myself. I didn’t want to leave, everyone became so close, we had so much fun together. I’ll be back for sure. Although I’ll be sad the same volunteers will have moved on Chantal has great judgement of character and I’m sure whoever is there will be great!💜 (Would love a shelf or hanging shower caddy in the shower though 😅)

Hostel looks new and clean. It has a no shoe policy. It has a kitchen and a relax area. A bit expensive though.
