新年快楽！
That meanings is Happy new year for Chinese New Year from 9th to 13th. Almost company in Hong Kong have taken holidays for 5 days, and SMC too. Hong Kong people who have taking care of their family spend on much time with them. What a marvelous culture. Japanese people also spend with family, but I feel the opportunity has decreased little by little, because they don't live with family or it's far from their house.

それは9日から13日の中国春節(旧正月)に交わされるあけましておめでとうという意味です。香港にあるほとんどの会社はこの5日間休みとなります。SMCもそうです。香港の人々はその期間を家族と過ごします。これは素晴らしい文化ですね。日本もまた家族と過ごしますが、家族や親戚と一緒に住んでいなかったり、家が遠いなどという理由でその機会は徐々に減っているような気がします。
I want to share 2 different points from japan. One is red pocket, this is so-called otoshidama in japan. Japanese give it only relative, but Hong Kong people give it not only relative but also subordinates or younger. Besides, the person giving it is only married people. Another is to have special date. There is only a day people mustn't visit another person's house.
日本と異なる点を2点紹介したいと思います。1つめは、レッドポケット(ライシー)という所謂日本でいうところのお年玉です。日本では親戚のみにそれを渡しますが、香港では親戚だけでなく、部下や自分より若い人に渡します。その上、それを渡す人は既婚者のみです。もう1つは特別な日があるということ。その日は他の人の家には訪れてはいけない日です。
I couldn't learn such a different culture in happy new year, if I didn't come here. And not so bad to spend on new year no less than 2 times as well!
もし香港に来ていなければ、このような異なる文化に触れることもできませんでした。そしてまた新年を2度も迎える経験も悪くありませんよ。
