ビートルズのLet It Beを訳してみました。「Let It Be」を歌ってみると、こんな風になりました。「．．．もしも、もしも、．．．」っていうのは、説明が長くなりますね。実際の演奏では、パフォーマンスとして、言葉のアドリブもあり得ますから、「．．．もしも、もしも、．．．」でなくて、「．．．いいよ、いいよ、いいです、それで．．」など変えてみることもありですね。
「Let It Be」のところで、「いいですよ」を歌い切り、その後の「ジャジャジャン」の余韻に浸ります。
意味を求めすぎると、日本語の意味になって、英語の含蓄が失われます。それも、ないよりまし、ということかもしれませんが。曲名は「レリビー」としました。「Let It Be」は分かりませんから、英語のままを拾うとして、耳に聞こえる音をそのままにしました。

インターネットに、この歌の解説が沢山出ています。「Let It Be」は、聖書のマリアの受胎告知の受け答えという事は、外せないところです。そうすると、「あるがままに」と言うよりは、「もしも、そうなら」の「もしも」の方が、謙虚な、あるべき受け答えに思えます。その意味を読み込み過ぎて、それで、この歌のすべてを染めてしまうのではなく、その躊躇いを、もっと、理解してあげたいですね。
