There is really no need to worry about Evgeni Plushenko's future as a showman, but his future as a sportsman is indeed worrisome. A week ago ISU informed that the decision to ban Evgeni Plusheko from competitions for refusing to participate in the World Championships and at the same time performing in the show had became final, because of the lack of an appeal in due time. It doesn't mean he lost his eligibility forever - especially in light of his statement here:

The monologue is really passionate, and you can trace a resentment, after all, Evgeni has given so many years to Figure Skating. But there are also words of coach Alexei Mishin that are worth a listen - sometimes a bad peace is better than a good war.

英語読んでも細かい所まではスッと理解に入ってこないものだから、随分時間がかかりました。
悲しくてコメントがなかなかでてこない。
私はミーシンコメントの楽観的な見方にすがってたんだけど、事態は思った以上に深刻なんだろうか？
でも最後の解説を見ると、復権に動くみたいだし、JapanOpenへのコメントを見てもプルは試合には出たいとずっと思ってるみたいだし、今シーズンは休むつもり、とかそういうのはこのインタビューからは感じ取れない。
中にはプロとしてのショーが見れたら幸せっていうファンもいるかもしれないけれど、
