In 50 years, these countries have lost 650,000 square kilometers of land - that’s about the same size as France.
Millions of people here are hungry, because they can’t grow food in desert.
SDGsの目標「陸の豊かさを守ろう」のなかでも、砂漠化に対処することが言及されています。
日本に住んでいると砂漠化問題を意識する機会はあまり多くありませんが、黄砂のことを考えると私たちも無関係とは言えないかもしれません。
