Events during Obon
①I went to the Asakusa Engei Hall
and watched a rakugo performance and Sumiyoshi Odori dance.
The origins of Sumiyoshi Dance
Empress Jingu returned from Silla in victory.
It's a dance to celebrate Empress Jingu.
➁I went to see Kabuki.
It was a summer kabuki performance,
so it was very crowded.
Most of the audience were middle-aged women.
Summer kabuki is divided into three parts per day,
and the performance time is short.
Therefore, the kabuki performance was mainly dance.
I had a great time.
③I went to visit my parents' grave.
I had sprayed herbicide there before,
so there was almost no grass,
which was nice.
