本日、1961年から続く姉妹都市、アメリカベーカーズフィールド市姉妹都市委員会の方々が議会に表敬訪問いただきました。
コロナ禍で海外交流が難しかったけれど、本日からアフターコロナによる新たな海外交流のリスタートとなりました。
来年は必ず姉妹都市であるベーカーズフィールド市を訪問します、と指切りで約束しました。
Today, members of the Sister City Committee of Bakersfield, USA since 1961, visited the Wakayama City Council.
It was so difficult for the overseas exchange due to the covid-19.
But from today, we have restarted new overseas exchanges due to the post-covid-19 situation.
I promised myself that I would definitely visit our sister city, Bakersfield, next year. So, pinky swear.
