青年会議所では、公的な会議（例会・総会・会員大会等）において必ずJCI綱領の唱和があります。
これを聞けば、事情を知らない第3者から見たら
変な宗教？
と思ってしまうかも知れませんね！
The Creed of Junior Chamber International
We Believe:
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and
That service to humanity is the best work of life.

我々はかく信じる ：
「信仰は人生に意義と目的を与え
人類の同胞愛は国家の主権を超越し
正しい経済の発展は 自由経済社会を通じて最もよく達成され
政治は人によって左右されず法によって 運営されるべきものであり
人間の個性はこの世の至宝であり
人類への奉仕が人生最善の仕事である」

簡単に言えるかも知れないけれど、これ入会当時車内でCDで聞いて結構練習しました！
以前、2004年度研修委員会に所属していたときに（04研修）委員長から「みっくん、JCIcreedの解説資料をつくって解説してね！」って言う指令があってJCIcreedを調べたことがあったんです。
中途半端は性分でどうしても気持ちが悪いので
英語の原文の真意を知りたくなってBrownfield's Interpretation of the JCICreed
を原文から訳してみて解ったことがいろいろありました。詳しくは明日に！
