カメWhen speaking of turtles, it has to be Matsuo Taisha. There is a miraculous spring called `the well of the turtles` in the precincts, and it is admired by persons in the brewing trade because it is said that liquor does not rot when its waters are used.

In addition, because the god of Matsuo gets on the turtle  when he gets on a slow flow, and gets on the carp when he gets on rapid stream, in Matsuo Taisha, both the turtle and the carp are considered to be messengers of the gods. A turtle has its followers supporting perpetual youth and longevity mainly.
