Kashihara Jingu | Do you know who the Japanese Deities are?

Do you know who the Japanese Deities are?

Allow me to introduce some of the shrines, and their deities, found in Japan!

It's a Torii (a gateway to the entrance of a Shinto shrine) at the north approach to Kashihara Jingu. ( 6min.by walking from Unebiyama Goryou Mae station of Kintetsu Kashihara line)

It's a Chozuya that's used for for ritual cleansing of hands and mouth with water when visiting shrines.

It's the Kitashinmon (North Shrine Gate).

It's Ge Haiden (Outer Haiden). Haiden is the main worship hall.

Enshrined deities are Jinmu Tenno (Kamuyamatoiwarehikohohodeminosumeramikoto) who is the first Emperor of Japan and his wife, Himetataraisuzuhimenomiko, who is Omononushinomikoto's daughter.

Divine Virtues are longevity, good fortune, prosperous coexistence, world pease and continued acsension of the Japanese Emperor.

These clouds suggest a divine atmosphere, don't they?

It's the Honden (Main Shrine).

There is the Fukadaike Pond where many ducks choose to swim.

It's Nagayama Inari sha that Massha (subordinate shrine) of Kashihara Shrine.

Enshrined deities are Ukanomitamanokami, Toyoukenokami and Omiyanomenokami.

Providences are bringing good fortune and warding off evil, abundant harvest and business success.

After passing through a lot of Torii, you can find Haiden for Nagayamainarisha.

Every year, on the sunday before National foundation day (11th February),  to ward off evil, archers shoot Yumiya (arrows).

I didn't know they had this ritual the day I visited.

I was really lucky that I could see it by accident.ウインク

Even in cold wether, they opened their collars and drew their bows bravely.

They are so cool.ラブ

After, I climbed Unebiyama.

It's a small mountain so it wasn't so hard to get to the top of the mountain.

During climbing, I could think clear thoughts while a gentle breeze blew. It was so very refreshing and relaxing.

In the future, I want to climb more mouuntains and visit the shrines built upon them.おねがい

Thank you for reading this!ラブラブ

I hope your day goes well.キラキラ
